SUMMARY

At the Maryland Institute of Technology, Dr. Timothy Ryan comes upon two students practicing with a robot of the Hulk- a robot strong enough to smash an iron bar! Dr. Ryan chews the two of them out for wasting their time, though they protest that they intended the robot to be used in the school game as a mascot, since everyone in the team is a Hulk fan. Dr. Ryan forces them to admit they will disassemble the robot.

The Uni-Mind returns to earth, bringing with it vast amounts of stray energy, which play havoc with cars on roads, ships at sea...and the Hulk robot...

In Olympia, Zuras declares the Uni-Mind ritual to be ended and all those who participated return. Margo quickly panics, and Ikaris has to gently return her to the ground.

Sersi:"Margo Damian should be dropped on her HEAD! And that goes for you as well, SAM HOLDEN! You HUMANS are incorrigible SOFTIES!"

When Sam suggests returning home, Sersi latches onto the idea at once- that they should return to New York and throw a "Uni-Mind Party". Makkari supplies them with a fast vehicle, and he, Sersi, Ikaris, Margo & Sam journey back.

Awakened by the stray energies of the Uni-Mind, the Hulk robot breaks off of campus and begins to rampage, attacking a van on the road.

As the Eternals return to New York, Ikaris picks up a strange reading- that of cosmic power! He decides to check it out, and they follow a vast trail of destruction until they arrive at the scene of the carnage, surrounded by policemen. Makkari launches into battle first, but is snatched by the robot and thrown at Ikaris! As Margo and Sam check on Makkari, Ikaris enters the fray!

Ikaris batters the robot as best as he can, but nothing can stop it! It breaks off a steel bar to attack him with, and so, Ikaris resorts to his own cosmic powers- by firing his energy beams at him!

Next: The fight continues.

COMMENTS

In the interests of making this as painless as possible, I've cut this review short. Had this been the REAL Hulk, we might have been treated to an interesting story. But who really cares about this robot, built by some College students?

Still, it's great art, and Kirby does do a mean Hulk.
