Body length  15mm, male                                                   
 
The wasps have white band on the antenna, with large white dots on black body. Their legs are orange-brown in colours.

We took this picture in Yugarapul Park in early summer, and Karawatha Forest in early summer.

Male 
 
Female wasps search for mature caterpillars and pupae in plants, litter or soil.
