"I think we're just about done here," Kevin said.
"I think so too," Brian agreed, and then came a knock at the door which puzzled all of them.
"I'll see who it is," Howie said. He got up and walked over to the door and opened it and revealed a crying Jen.
"Jen, what happened?" AJ asked walking over to her. He looked at her face, "How did this happen?"
"Nick, he did it, and he took Anthony."
"What?"
"He came and he wanted to take Anthony, but I wouldn't let him, so he hit me," Jen said crying harder.
"Where did he take him?" Howie asked.
"I don't know."
"You should go to the police," Kevin said.
"What?" Brian said, stunned.
"First he hit her, and second her pretty much kidnapped Anthony. We don't know where he is or what he's doing so that would be the best thing."
"Come on, we can't do that to him," Brian protested.
"Like hell we can't! Come on Jen, I'll drive you," AJ said looking at Jen and feeling helpless.
"I don't know..."
"Jen, you can't let him get away with this," AJ told her.
"We'll all go with you."
*Later*
Jen laid on her couch holding a pillow tight with tears flowing freely. Her and the guys had just finished filing a police report about what happened. AJ had offered to stay with Jen when they had dropped her off, but she wanted to be alone. She still couldn't believe that Nick had taken Anthony. Jen felt as if her whole world had been taken from her.
After a while of just laying on the couch crying, she headed to the kitchen to get the phone and call AJ so that she could have someone to talk to. Jen picked up the phone and dialed AJs' number.
"Hello?" AJ answered.
"AJ, it's Jen," she said still slightly crying.
"How you feeling?" AJ asked.
"Upset."
"I understand. Are you sure that you don't want me to come over and keep you company?"
"I need you here," Jen confessed.
"Alright, I'll be right over."
"Okay," Jen said hanging up the phone. Jen laid back on the couch waiting for AJ to come. This was a hard time for Jen. She hoped that she would be reunited with her son. Nick obviously wasn't too serious about getting custody of Anthony otherwise he wouldn't have done this. Jen waited until she heard the bell, and she knew it was AJ. She went to the door and opened and smiled slightly when she saw AJ.
"Hey," AJ said.
"Hi," Jen said bitterly.
"It'll be alright," AJ said and hugged Jen.
"Damn AJ, he has my son," Jen said hugging AJ back with tears rolling down her cheeks.
"You'll get him back. Don't worry."
"What if I don't get him back?"
"Jen you will," AJ said with his heart breaking as he watched Jen cry, "Come on, lets go sit down and talk."
"Yeah alright," Jen said heading to the livingroom. She sat on the couch and AJ followed and sat next to her.
"You did the right thing," AJ told her.
"I know."
"They'll find them."
"Yeah I hope. I just can't believe that he did this."
"I can't believe that he had the nerve to hit you again," AJ said looking at the area of her face that Nick had hit. It was badly brusied considering that he only used his hand.
"I can. I should have seen this coming. How could I have been so stupid?"
"You're not stupid. There was no way that you should have known that he was going to do this," he said putting his arms around Jen. He knew that she was in pain both mentally and physically.
"Thank you for putting up with me," Jen said softly.
"I wasn't about to run away. Good people don't do that, especially to the people that they really care about."
"Why is Nick like that? Why would he do things like this?"
"I really don't know. There is no reason for what he is doing. He never should have touched you and he shouldn't have taken Anthony, no matter how mad he was."
"Do you think Anthony's okay?"
"Yes. He's alright, Nick wouldn't do anything to him."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Nick would never hurt his own flesh and blood."
"I hope so, I would never be able to live with myself if something happened to Anthony."
"Don't worry Jen, he'll be alright."
"I just want this to be over and I want my son back. You don't know how tough this for me."
"I know this has to be hard, but I'm here for you. You can talk to me and I'll help you as much as I can. I promise."
"What do you think will happen to Nick when they find him?"
"Honestly, I don't know, but I do know that Anthony will be returned to you."
"How long do you think it will take?"
"I don't know."
"Will you stay with me until I get Anthony back?"
"Yeah."
"You promise?"
"I promise." Jen smiled.
