June 28^th, 2001 - It's Over!!! The mighty, mighty Ken Stars entered the playoffs in the #3 seed.  We defeated the not-so-Mighty Drunks in the first round.  But we were denied a finals berth by the LA Kings in the second round.  This, despite the fact the Kings barely made the playoffs at #8!  Still, LA did make it to the RFPHL Melrose Cup/Trophy final, only to be stomped on by the IceLancers.

June 1^st, 2001 - Hmm...what...FOOTBALL PRACTICE!!!  Yup, this season is lasting longer than a typical NBA game.  Anyhoo, the real news is that our team placed four...count em' four players on the All-Star team.  They are, in no particular order:

Matt "Hey, your face needs my stick in it" Sundin
Sergei "My card is in my other outfit" Federov
Rob "I didn't shoot her, so ask the actor with my name" Blake
Pavel "Speed is my first, middle, & last name" Bure

   Well, at this rate the season will end around Christmas.  Stay tuned, but turn away if your eyes start to hurt.

January 31^st, 2001 - Sweet Merciful Crap!  I thought we were going to be good, but maybe not this good.  After 27 games, the K Stars are a solid third in the Western Conference with a record of 16-7-4.  But more astoundingly, Pavel Bure leads the RFPHL in goals (17) and points (37).  Sergei Federov is second in the RFPHL in assists (24) and points (34).  What's even more amazing is that none of the usual suspects (Worrell, Cefalo) are anywhere near the top five in penalty minutes.  Head Coach Richard Jeni is stunned! Maybe he does know something about hockey....naw!

December 18^th, 2000 - The first game of the 2001A RFPHL Season was between the K Stars and the Avalanche.  And the first goal of that season was scored by none other than Peter "Go To H#ll!" Worrell.  Unfortunately, the K Stars lost 5 - 3.  Next time, Head Coach Richard Jeni just might start the first line instead of the goons.

December 5^th, 2000 - The 2001A draft is over.  A complete list of the K Stars team can be found on the 2001A roster page.  Congradulations to Pavel Bure, our first draft pick of the 2001A season.  He is, by all accounts, the fastest man in the RFPHL.  And this is his first time on a RFPHL team.  Should be a really interesting season.
