2000B
News
August
10th,
2000 - Our
joy last two whole days as the San Jose Sharks (or is it Shawns?) wipe
us off the ice 4 - 1 in the first round. Also, our Team
Awards for the 2000B season have been posted.
August
8th,
2000 - Final
Stats of the regular season have been posted. The K Stars finish
in second place in the Western Conference and face
the San Jose Sharks in the first round. Coming soon, the "Best of the Season"
page. Look for it!
July
24th,
2000 - I
added two photos to Chiana's Babe Page. And I removed the "Farscape Women"
photo.
July
12th,
2000 - I
have removed the link to the MST3K Vote page, since Clydefest 2000 is history.
June
25th,
2000 - The
Western Conference All-Stars Team has been announced. Unfortunately,
none of the K Stars made the list. While there has been no official
investigation, our team has promised to "revenge" themselves against the
other WC teams.
June
23rd,
2000 -Updated
Stats page.
After 43 games Matthew "Put Em' Up" Barnaby is leading the K Stars with
95 penalty minutes. Whearas the "Big Three" of Sundin, Roberts, &
Little Joe Burton have a combined 29 points between them as the K Stars
battle for first place in the Western Conference.
June
8th,
2000 - Have
changed Chiana's Babe Page. Actually, I just created another page and substituted
it for the original.
May
27th,
2000 - First
Stats of the year have been posted. After 19 games, Chris Gratton
leads the K Stars in points with five. Joe Burton, last year's WC
goals leader, has only one goal & two points so far. Perhaps
the biggest surprise is that M. Barnaby is leading the team in penalty
minutes with 56?! Greater than Cefalo, Worrel, & Laus combined!!.
May
15th,
2000 - Buck
Naked voted Player of the Week (Week 3) by the RFPHL. He is the first
goalie & first Western Conference player to receive such an award.
Also, the K Stars currently boast a record of 6-4-1 (13 points) and are
tied with the Mighty Drunks.
May
13th,
2000 - The
biggest trade in K Star history took place as Steve Yzerman is sent to
Toronto for little known power center Mats Sundin. It's not as risky
a move as it first appears, since Yzerman has been prone to injury and
Sundin is pretty tough considering his speed & finesse. Oh well,
only time will tell if it's the proper move.
April
30th,
2000 - The
Inaugural Pre-Season tournament is over. After the K Stars shocked the
defending Western Conference champs Chicago Jodyhawks 1 - 0, in the first
round. We then proceeded to lose 1 - 0 to the much hated Nashville Predaturtles
in the semi-finals.
April
15th, 2000 - RFPHL Draft Day!
The Ken Stars first round selection was Left Winger G. Roberts. Roberts
will help out "The Tiny One" Joe Burton on the first line.
The rest
of the draft picks:
Back
Up Goalie:
Perhaps
most interesting was 6th round choice Paul Laus. Stat wise,
he is the meanest goon in the RFPHL. Laus, along with Worrell, Cefalo,
and the ever irritable Chris Gratton, means that the K Stars now have the
most fearsome "Goon" Line in the league
Also, I have submitted my
official "lines" for the team. A first...and possibly last since
I've never done it before.
