Adobe Certified Program
After completing the text, students may be eligible to pass an Adobe Product Proficiency Exam. The certification is for students interested in graphic design and would allow the student to promote themselves to clients or employers as highly skilled, expert-level users of Adobe software.
CLASS RULES
Class rules are consistent with Volusia County and Taylor Middle-High School rules and procedures. All procedures for parental notification regarding student discipline will be followed, if you have any questions or concerns please check with the assistant principal or the Student Conduct folder.
Grading Policy:
The student is graded on the quality of work completed averaged with total points possible as well as classroom behavior. In addition, the Curriculum Mastery Policy will be implemented. Any student who misses 6 days or more will be required to take the Curriculum Mastery Test at the end of the 9 weeks and pass it with a 70% or better to pass the class.
GRADING SCALE
Letter Percentage Quality Points
A 100 – 90 4
B 89 – 80 3
C 79 – 70 2
F 59 or below 0
MAKE-UP POLICY
Students who miss school will have one (1) day for each
day absent to make up work. This is good up to 5 days of consecutive absences.
It is the pupil’s responsibility to find out what work he/she missed during an
absence from class and to make it up as prescribed by the teacher.
Requests for homework may only be made by a parent/guardian when their child will be absent. Parents/guardians are encouraged to contact the teacher by email. Parents/guardians may also contact the guidance department to obtain class assignments. For short-term absences students are encouraged to notify their teachers prior to the absence. It should be noted that this is a performance-based course. Every effort will be made to provide assignments that can be done at home.
