***Sunset Illumin has been Caught, so there's a fresh clutch on the sands--one with a bit of a theme, this time.  You can read the chase down at the Chase board.

***Alrighty, I'm killing off the Cathairte and the Cathairix.  They were killed in a freak flying accident, in which they were accosted by Tabriz and overwhelmed.  Anaess and Ambrek were killed and eaten, as well as their baby daughter Avirie; their dragons went /parallel/ after sustaining major injuries.  They are succeeded by Anaess' sister Taite, the former Junior Cathairte, but she does not wish to shoulder the responsibility of running the Cathair.  Instead, Cathairte Operye has taken over; her starry dragon has taken on the name of Umuminaenth in honor of the dead Cathairte and her dragon.  The Cathair is in mourning, but life will go on...

(I'm evil, aren't I?  Truth is, I got bored with Anaess)

-ATTENTION!!!  Those who have not picked up their holiday dragon adult stages are in danger of losing them permanently!!!  Misterioth has already been abandoned by Rannach; I would hate to abandon any more, but it's been FAR TOO LONG.

-Please, as always, send in ideas to make this a much better Cathair..I am always open to suggestions, comments, and questions!

Maoith lands gracefully upon the Utopian shore, folding her wings with careful elegance.  Rubiae dismounts with practiced ease, then extends her hand to you with a friendly grin.  You take it gratefully, still trembling slightly from a jarring trip
/parallel/, and jump down beside her.

Rubiae turns and strides through a beautifully carved archway, cut into the Cathair's inner cliffs, the red-copper stone detailed with delicate silver trim.  Maoith, preferring to remain outside, slides into the lake's clear waters and submerges herself in its soothing depths.  You look upward, straining to see the uppermost tip of the highest cliff.  You can see a plethora of cathairs cut into the rock, each lit with its own bright flame.  Dragons and riders alike sprawl lazily on the ledges outside their cathairs, soaking in the last rays of the suns before they slip below the horizon.  On the outer side of the grand Cathair, the cliffs continue on for a bit, then flatten out into waving golden fields, dark forests, and soft, white-sanded beaches...

Rubiae calls and you hurry after her.  She walks quickly through the passage, which glows warmly with the light of the torches hanging on its walls.

Suddenly, your guide stops.
"The Cathairte's place is right down that hall, and to the left.  I have work to do; candidates don't Find themselves!  Oh, and directions to any other place in the Cathair will be found down the hall and to the right; they're on the wall."  Rubiae grins at you, spins smartly on one toe, and heads back the way you came.

You, on the other hand, travel down the hall as instructed...
A tribute to the late Cathairte Anaess
