Chapter 58

"I was getting worried," AJ smiled as Kyndall and Catlyn walked into their waiting area. He pulled Kyndall into a bear hug, kissing her passionately.

"Ahem," Catlyn cleared her throat. "I hate to break up this wonderful display of affection, but don't you have to be onstage in a few minutes?"

AJ grinned. "Sure do, just wanted to say hello to my lady before hand." Walking over to Catlyn, he gave her a tight hug. "Thank you so much," he whispered into her ear.

"I didn't do anything," she murmured hugging him back. She pulled away, noticing Howie sitting by himself in the corner, his eyes closed and his head bowed. "Hey," she said walking over and sitting next to him.

"Hey there," he smiled up at her.

"How ya doing?"

He shrugged. "Okay I guess."

"Hmm…" she said eyeing him. "I don't think so. Gonna be able to handle this?" she said nodding her head towards AJ and Kyndall.

"Yeah," he sighed. "I guess. Don't have much of a choice," he smiled sadly.

"All right ya'll. We have ten minutes," Kevin announced walking into the room. "Where's Nick?" he asked looking around.

"Right here," he answered walking into the room, Brian following close behind.

The guys got in a circle, their dancers joining them. Kyndall and Catlyn stood by AJ and Howie as they began their prayer. Finishing up, the Boys hugged each other. AJ jumped up and down and gave out a loud holler. Kyndall looked over at him, and Brian laughed. "It's okay. He does that a lot," he said.

The Boys' name was announced and AJ grabbed Kyndall, pulling her into a quick embrace. "I love you," he said before running off. Nick looked at Catlyn for a moment, getting ready to say something, but he shook his head and ran after AJ.

Dimitri came for Catlyn and Kyndall, leading them to their seats. Leighanne and Shawna were already sitting down, smiling up at them as they made their way to their spots. "Hey," Leighanne greeted them. "Been a while."

Kyndall grinned. "Yeah it has. How are you?" She began talking with them about all the things they'd been doing since the last time they'd seen each other. The conversation turned to the Boys as they watched the show. Kyndall was telling the girls about how her and AJ had gotten back together, which made them extremely happy.

Catlyn was curiously quiet, being that she really didn't have much to contribute to the conversation. Someone tapped her on the shoulder. Glancing up, she saw a big black guy standing behind her, holding a note. Looking at him curiously, she took it from him. He walked away without saying anything. Unfolding it, her brows came together in confusion at the unfamiliar handwriting.

Didn't catch your name, but I'd like to. If you can, please meet me backstage. Here's a pass for you. I'll be waiting. -Justin

"What ever I did in a past life that has caused this punishment to fall on me, please please PLEASE let me do something to rectify it," she mumbled.

"What?" Kyndall asked, looking at her funny. Catlyn looked at her and sighed. Tossing the note at her, she stood up and walked towards the refreshment tents. Kyndall looked at the note, scanning it quickly. "Well, then," she said softly, glancing over her shoulder in the direction Catlyn had walked. Sighing, she turned back to the stage, just in time to see AJ smile at her and blow her a kiss.

"Hey," a voice said from behind her as she stood in line getting something to drink.

Turning around slowly, she sighed as she seen Justin standing there. "You don't give up, do you?"

He grinned, thinking she was impressed. "Not when I see something I want."

Rolling her eyes, she turned back to the counter. "Mountain Dew please," she said to the girl.

"Here," he said pulling out some money and putting it on the counter. Catlyn took the drink from the girl and started walking away. "Hey," he said running up to her. "You never told me your name."

"Catlyn," she murmured walking back towards her seat.

"Wait," he said grabbing her arm. "Are you going to the party after the show?"

Catlyn shrugged. "Dunno. Maybe. Depends on what my friend is doing."

"Please?" Justin begged her, his blue eyes pleading.

He's actually not THAT bad, Catlyn thought looking at him. His eyes aren't quite as blue as Nick's, but they're still pretty. And as long as he's wearing that hat, you can't see his ratty hair. "What?" she asked, realizing she completely didn't hear a thing he said.

Looking at her funny, he repeated himself. "I'd like to get to know you better. Will you please come tonite?"

"Sure," she answered without thinking.

Justin smiled. "Great. I'll get the limo to pick you up."

"No, I'll have a ride," she smiled at him.

"Okay," he nodded. "See ya then," he waved.

"Yeah," Catlyn said as she walked slowly away. "What am I doing?" she asked softly as she made her way back to her seat.

"What took you so long?" Kyndall whispered when she sat down.

"Huh?" Catlyn asked looking at her blankly. "What…took me so long? I…ran into someone."

"You went to see him, didn't you?" she asked her eyes narrowed.

"No. I didn't," Catlyn denied. "Forgive me if I'm wrong, but backstage is over there," she pointed. "Refreshments are over there," she pointed behind her. "And I went over there," she nodded towards the refreshments. "He just happened to be over there."

"Catlyn Marie!" Kyndall exclaimed.

"What?" Catlyn asked. "I didn't do anything."

"Hmm…" Kyndall replied. "Just remember how the Boys feel about them," she warned.
