Rockies Experience

In the summer of 2002 I had my first non-high school related camping experience with my friend Chrys in the beautiful Alberta Rockies..., Banff area...  I loved the place so much we went back in 2003, this time venturing to Jasper.  Both times we tented, and both times the weather ended up being very good for us. In 2003 we narrowly missed a number of forest fires, and we followed a bunch of rain in 2002.  Both times, Chry kindly offered to drive from her central Alberta location and picked me up in Calgary.  She also kindly provided all the camping gear.  It was a ready made vacation for me.  These are photos of a few of my favourite things from both trips. Top left: This is one waterfall that we encountered during our trip.  It was not the hike with the 7 or 8 waterfalls which we ended up hiking past the end of, venturing into some terrible footing.  No, this was a nice easy to see one. Beautiful, isn't it? Middle left: The one below dates back to our 2002 trip. Check out the water colour, which comes from the water being glacier fed. At the bottom left, just a lovely little shot of purple luestryfe, water, and mountain. Bottom right- my favourite shot overlooking the beautiful and oft photographed Spirit Island
