This little mountain sheep was one of the many wild life we saw in our 2003 trip. In fact, in a several mile strech on the road going to one particular lake (Maligne), we saw a moose, 2 bear cubs, deer, as well as a group of these mountain sheep. This is a cute little fellow. When we slowed down, one friendly fellow ambled up and I basically had to roll up the window as he decided to start slobbering on the car. Same trip we also saw elk. We did not however see any mountain goats, although we looked.
This is one of my favourite shots from 2003. It was one of our last stops on the morning of the way home, and we ended up wandering far enough to see this... So tough to tell which was the sky and which was the water. It was just off the road too. A simply amazing spot where we ended up spending several hours, just enjoying the beauty. There were also fish in the water, and with the glass like reflection we spent some time trying to watch them. Amazing beauty... Perfect still.
Looking down is a view from a top one of the gondolas (I believe it was the Banff 1 in 2002). This was my first view of the mountains looking down. I shall never forget it.
Below are some flowers in the gardens in Banff behind the view looking onto the main street (the oft photographed view that is). Apparently these were begun during the Depression as part of the relief effort, or so I am told. I am glad that they were- aren't they beautiful?

Finally, the photo below this is of me in the clouds... One of the few photos of myself I actually like...Looking down once again. What beauty!
