"Melting Together" means share something and is the meelting
between two important musicians and artist who feel that they share something they called a lyrical basic sound and a mutual musical sympathy.
In their first collaboration, they want to challenge each other´s musical expressions.
The concert will be presented as a performance with
Petter Nils
Molvaer & Magne Furuholmen
as the performers and as the two voices
of the pieces of music, the mainly instruments would be Piano and
Trumpet (Molvaer´s instrument),with which they will enhace the contrast and armonies between the two.
In addition, Furuholmen will be using his own voice as a solo instrument for the first time throughout this concert, the basic idea behind the Winterarts Festival´s "Frozen Waterfall Concert" will be
more explored than ever, and used in a more radical way than ever.
The aim is to make a concert where the music influences: The scenography and vice versa, where the performs finds its form in the
interaction with surrondings.
The scenography is a collaboration between the ice sculpture group
"MINUS" & Furuholmen, Molvaer. Their wish is to approach as far
away as possible from often used idea of nature
/mith/mystic and a
sweet contrast to the romantic characters of the area.
The concert will be performed in the dark of the night; Where
lighting and video  projection will be important elements. Sounds will
be recorded during the concert and re-sampled in real time, providing
unforeseen possibilities, and forming ambient soundscaper for solo voices.
