When Magne Furuholmen, conquested the world in company of Morten Harket and Pal Waaktaar. He played everything for a card. In October 1989, he made his first performance as an artistīs brush. He inagurating his first exhibition in his country. The expositon was in The House Of Culture in Stanvanger, Norway. The premier was a total success. Magne recognised that the feeling was different and emotional. "When we performance above 138,000 people in South America, I didnīt feel so nervous. For me the stage is more easy and comfortable than exhibited my own paintings" Magne. He said that sometimes he feel insecure, maybe he was no matture in that time to expose his work, but something inside of him, wanted to try it. The Lithograpihies and the paintings that the public and the critical art contemplated expectant in the inagurated gala. Could see the strogest influence over Magne from his famouse compatriot Edvard Munch. In the linen clothes; The color are full of contrast and vivid colors, both of the paintings are titled: "Munchīs Landscape I and II" as homage to his idol. In the same collection, we found inflenses from impressionist artis like: Van Gogh and Gaugin. " I feel so much admiration for them, but I donīt took them as a models". " I want to express my self in my own emotions". The principal obstacles in the develope of his art, is the time that, A-ha steal from him, but Magne doesnīt give it up. Titles like: "Nine Months Without You" or "The Infinity Complications Of Love", were inspired for Heidy Rydjord, his muse. "I believe that my paintings had a presumptuous titles, maybe because my art have not obtain yet the perfection that I dream." Magne Furuholmen. The desicion to present his art in a small city and refuse tentative offerts of big museums, is because he wish that his art audience, first know him as painter and not as a pop artist. -" I donīt want to take the renown of A-haīs fame " - " I pretend a total separation from Mags, the keyboardist to the painter Magne "... |
