 1813Battle of Stony Creek. British inflict a sharp defeat on Americans during the War of 1812.
 1846Battle of Rasaca de la Palma. Enroute to relieving Fort Texas, Zachory Taylor defeated a Mexicans blocking force. The fort was relieved in the evening.
 1849Battle of Palestrina. Garibaldi was wounded but his forces defeated the Neopolitans.
