What a fantastic night!
We did a quiz, we wrote down our memories, we ate and drank, we made a
toast and cut the cake, we sang some songs.
But most of all, we talked and talked and talked till we were hoarse.
But it was excellent to see everyone again, and boy did we have some
stories to tell.
The oldest person there was May Redford at 93 years old and the youngest
Adele Edwards at 40 years old, both born in Castle Hall.

Reunion Cake "
And the person who had
travelled the furthest was Vi Lewis (nee Nuttall) who, along with her
husband Sam, had come all the way
from Australia - but not just for the reunion.
We received greetings from a number of people who could not make it,
particularly one from Joyce Radford (nee Dimelow) in
New Zealand. She wished all " Castlehallers " a wonderful reunion.

During the evening we were
entertained by Arthur Howard and John Vale, former members of the Three
Crows. They shared some music and plenty of crack. Everyone agreed that we
could not have got better.
Plenty of old friendships were renewed that evening, promises were made to
keep in touch and requests for another reunion were a plenty.
I do not think we could
top this one.
" THE ROGUES GALLERY "
At the
reunion event, a total of £62.87 was raised for the Willow Wood Hospice
appeal.
