Our Yellow Crowned Amazons
These actually weren't even the pair we had originally picked out when we went to the breeder's place, but now we're happy that we got them.

For a breeder pair they are extremely friendly, not to mention hilarious. When we walk into their room they get excited and make clicky-ray gun sounds. They can also say, Hello, How ya doin? No!! And other unknown nonsence sentances. Another lucky break for us, they don't seem to be inclined to scream like most amazons. They are also great acrobats! One will walk around on the ceiling of their cage and just hang there, it makes me dizzy just thinking about doing that. They enjoy the many different perches they have now and completely destroyed their bagel toys and looked like they were having a grand ol' time doing it.

I think their biggest thrill was when we brought their cage back from welding pieces to it so that we could attach their nest box. They cooed and clicked back and forth for about half an hour when they saw it. Now we're waiting anxiously for the day when there are some babies in there!
Just after their bath! Squeaky clean amazons!
They seem very bonded to one another, hopefully that means lots of babies.
Our favorite picture, to think it only happened because James forgot the flash.
