Art 101
A broad-based art curriculum designed for all students ages 9-18. Students will be introduced to a wide range of art basics, including an introduction to art history, through weekly projects utilizing a variety of mediums and techniques. Eight 90-minute classes which change for each session. 6 students minimum.

Fee: $60.00

Materials are included in the fee and will be provided by the instructor

 

 

DRAWiNG CLASSES

Level 1 Drawing: Black & White Skills
This is a pre-requisite for all other classes and will focus on the funda- mentals of black & white drawing, including line, shape, value and form. A variety of drawing exercises and projects will help students to grow in their drawing skills ad gain confidence. Students will use black and white mediums such as pencil, pen & ink, and charcoal. Color is introduced in later classes. Eight 90-minute classes.                            6 students minimum. Fee: $55.00 *

Materials for this class are included in the fee and will be supplied by the instructor.

 

Level 2 Drawing: Color Theory
For students who have completed Level 1 B & W Drawing Skills. Students will begin to incorporate color theory to the skills learned in the previous session. This session will continue to include instruction, exercises and project time in each of eight 90-minute classes.            Fee: $55.00 *

Students will need to bring a paint shirt, watercolors and colored pencils (a specific list will be mailed). All other supplies are included in the fee and will be supplied by the instructor.

 

Level 3 Drawing: Design and Composition Understanding what makes up a good composition is an important key in creating any work of art. Students who have progressed through Levels 1 and 2 will continue with drawing skills and incorporate design and layout fundamentals that will take their artwork to the next level! Eight 90-minute classes. Fee: $55.00 *

Students will need a sketchbook, and the same supplies required for the Level 2 Drawing class. All other supplies are included in the fee and will be supplied by the instructor.

 

Advanced Drawing
Students who have completed the Level 1 and 2 Drawing classes will continue to develop their skills in the principles and elements of design as they learn to work with different mediums and techniques. Weekly sketchbook assignment will be given as homework, and students will begin to work on individually tailored assignments. Eight 90-minute classes. Fee: $55.00 *

Students will need a sketchbook, and the same supplies required for the Level 2 Drawing class. All other supplies are included in the fee and will be supplied by the instructor.

 

* The Line Upon Line Art Studio strives to provide quality and affordable art instruction for young people. Due to the expense of art materials used during classes, it has become necessary to implement a $5.00 class fee increase this year. I hope this does not cause any inconvenience
