Don't get lost in what might've been!!! Make
Chris and Eve happen!!!!

First off, I would like to say how much I really enjoyed Thursday's
episode of Port Charles. Almost every character was
featured on the show and that was a refreshing change from the usual
four to five characters we usually get to view. Thinking about what
to write about Eve, I went to the Soapzone board to see what was going
on over there and I came across an interesting post that was entitled Does
Eve have any tact? Asking to move in with Kevin, and the varied responses
that followed the original post.
Here is a sample of some of the thoughts, Eve got bashed by many fans
saying she should be more capable of handling things herself instead of
running to a man for help any time things don't exactly go the way she
has planned for them to. She had some people defend her but the majority
of viewers were kind of irritated by her behavior. I had hoped when
she had turned down Chris' proposal at the cabin in May that when she said
she was tired of bouncing around from man to man that she really meant
it. I know motherhood is overwhelming sometimes, but this woman is
supposed to be a doctor. Surely, she could manage things on her own
instead of running back to Kevin, boot Ian out if she wanted to, but be
her own person and stand on her own for a change. Her going to Kevin
really caused a lot of problems for Kevin and Lucy too. If I was
engaged to a man I wouldn't welcome his ex-wife back into his house with
open arms, would you? This situation just played on Lucy's insecurities
about Kevin where Eve is concerned and the fact that Eve has a baby and
Lucy cannot have any more children.
I find it hard to believe that women are actually on the writing teams
at PC due to the incredible lack of sensitivity portraying women as being
so needy and insecure. We need to see the women of PC stand up for
themselves, not be afraid to speak their opinions and if need be do something
for themselves without having a man around to constantly reassure them
and hold their hand through every crisis. I am thankful that I have
such a wonderful husband in my life, but if any situation arose where he
wasn't around to help me then I would do my best to be able to handle things
on my own. Women are so strong and the writers are trying to make
them appear so weak and helpless that it infuriates me to no end.
Eve quit being so wishy-washy in your emotions and get back to your strong
and independent nature again. You have it in you to be the woman
you used to be if you look hard enough to find her. As I have already
stated previously so many times, we miss you greatly.
Until next week,

Ian and Eve
So, I was sitting around last night with a friend,
watching "Grease"
and Grease 2," two of my all-time favorite movies. I was trying
to think of
what I could possibly write about this week, because, frankly, I'm
tired of
ranting, and that's all PC is giving me to do with Ian&Eve.
Then, watching the movie, I suddenly think
of all the great TV and
movie couples there have been over the years, and who I could compare
Ian&Eve to. I came up pretty blank. Of course, it was
about 2 in the
morning and I was singing along to "There Are Worse Things I Could
Do" (my
favorite "Grease" song), so that could have a little to do with it.
So, gang, it's up to you. I'll think
on it over this week and you do
the same, and sometime before 5PM next Friday, e-mail me and tell me
what
you think of Ian&Eve (I'll accept good and bad), and who you can
compare
them to.
