Don't get lost in what might've been!!! Make Chris
and Eve happen!!!!

Performer of the Week
October 29-November 2, 2001
After watching Thursday's show, I am going to give an honorable "Performer
of the Week" mention to Julie Pinson for her angst at the loss (although
its just temporary) of her son Daniel. Seems her overreacting to Ian and
his "threats" backfired on her. Her tears were real, her pain evident in
every word she spoke. She still needs to get a grip and remember how much
Ian loves her...though the power of Caleb lives on.
HOWEVER, my true Performer of the Week honors this week go to Kelly
Monaco (Livvie). On PC this week, Livvie slowly discovers that she has
been helping Caleb, which in turn explains the blackouts she has been experiencing
and the blocks of time she can't account for. Earlier in the week, she
shares with Rafe her fear about what has been going on in her life, and
what she "doesn't" know. She wrestled (almost literally) with the forces
of good and evil as she was torn between Rafe trying to convince her that
the human power of love is more powerful than all, and Caleb trying to
remind Livvie that everyone she loves will eventually turn against her
and only HE has her best interests at heart.
By mid-week Livvie starts to have flashbacks of Lucy finding Christina
in the park, and when Livvie found a red sweater in her drawer which Lucy
had described Christina as wearing when she saw her, the horror on Livvie's
face spoke volumes. It was then that she began to realize that she had
been the tremendous force helping Caleb destroy the residents of PC, and
provide them with optical illusions.
The "Tainted Love" and "Tempted" storylines have been so intriguing
as they have developed the characters on PC. But I have been in awe of
the superb acting abilities of the younger set (Jamal,Livvie,Jack and Allison).
And with Karen now being injected with vampire serum, Caleb back in the
picture as he has risen from the ashes, and friction between Allison and
Jamal, not only are we getting great acting, but interesting and numerous
storylines as well.
Kelly Monaco was not a well known actress when she started PC, but she
has made her place on the daytime drama map with her consistent performances
and wide range of talent in portraying a young woman who has experienced
a lifetime of dissapointment, betrayal, and of course, the unlikely, "date
with a vampire". Still, even though most of this is a stretch, isn't that
what daytime drama is for-to make us all remember life is pretty good?
After all, we could be ...Livvie!
For another terrific performance, Kelly Monaco, you are the PERFORMER
OF THE WEEK!
