A Dish Served Cold

Your words grow heavy and tiresome
Muted, they fade into an endless fog
So little merit and much less respect
One dancing in darkness with the other

Once there was such fire and splendor
I would arise to meet your un-welcomed rage
Now, you only serve to bore me
Laughter and hatred have become my feast

I have dreamt of splintering your soul
To quench my thirst with your hearts blood
My satisfaction a rainbow of black and blue
My revenge hiding in painted displays

For now, I will rest and send you away
Time is too precious for your waste of it
Power demands balance
Your legs are crumbling beneath you

I will watch in silent submission
The sheer ecstasy of you humiliation
Leaves me breathless and jaded

Shape Shifter

Familiar are the steps that lead this dance
I have known you before
In another time, another place
Faint is the memory that lives inside

Familiar is the music that moves us now
Each knowing the steps that are to be taken
In another existence, another world
Growing is the memory that lives inside

Familiar are the words whispered within
Time about we share them in unison
In another space, on another level
Stronger becomes the memory inside

Familiar is the circle of fire that exposes
The gift brought forth in perfect balance
On another plane, now a sacred trust
In raw, beautiful splendor
The memory becomes prisms of light

Familar is this ecstasy
Expressing pleasure of motion
We join in total trust as the circle closes
