Thanksgiving is an American Holiday. Thanksgiving began when the Pilgrims, who were the first white people or Europeans, to settle in America and have RELIGIOUS FREEDOM came over on the ship called the Mayflower. They found conditions harsh and many caught illnesses and died. The Native Americans were first considered to be enemies, but they brought food to the Pilgrims and they had plenty to eat. They set aside a special day to thank God for the blessings.
People often ask, "What does God have to do with America?" And the ACLU in America, (which was founded in the early 1900's by communists) has had God taken out of the schools and argues a twisted version of separation of church and state. Even during the tragic events in America on September 11th 2001, when support and unity was needed, they do not want signs that say "God Bless America" displayed in schools!
But, this is what God has to do with America. America was founded by good Christian believers, who were seeking religious freedom, but yet today people in America do not want to thank God for their food, health, or the other things they have. They don't even want to acknowledge that there is a God, or that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins! America has been blessed, and I hope Thanksgiving will prove to be always be a day of thanks to God!

I will enter His gates
with thanksgiving in my heart;
I will enter His courts with praise.
I will say this is the day that
the Lord hath made.
I will rejoice because He has
made me glad.
He has made me glad,
He has made me glad,
I will rejoice because
He has made me glad.
