PART 4 |
Alright, we've finally made it! Part Four! These are the dreams I had while I was dreaming. I actually dreamt this part. In reality it came throughout my dream, but I don't know how I would have seen this stuff, so I'm calling them dreams. Just so you know, rather than tell you in the story, they are what the rich man and his son were doing while all this was going on with me. That rich man is scary...I think he had magic power or something... He came up to his father and spoke. "Dad. That was her!" "Who?" he asked, knowing at least that his son was talking about me. I was the only girl who had just run by. "The girl I saw when I was younger! The one I'm going to marry! Dad I have to have her!" he said. "That girl? She's that girl? Alright, very well then. I guess I can't kill her," he said. The girl can't argue with this. She gets to see the child, and my son will stop dating these sluts. At least this girl has a spirit. "Are you sure?" "Yes! She mentioned it! She stopped and talked to me again Dad! Besides, look at all the girls I've dated. They all look just like her. She's the one!" he said. The father new this was right. His son had been obsessed with finding this girl since she had ran through their yard when he was twelve. He would only date girls that looked like her, but none of them satisfied him for very long. He knew somehow that the perfect girl was better. He was sure someone that beautiful could kiss better too. Don't ask me how he knew that. I just dreamed this part.. "Very well son, you shall marry her. I'll find her for you." The private investigators were told originally that the girl was the rich man's daughter. She was running away from home. The story seemed normal enough, so they had never questioned it. The investigators always wore the same grey suits with matching ties. They were balding, middle aged men both heavily built, but not fat. They looked more like goons than detectives, so they weren't surprised when the girl started running from them. They soon became very involved in it though. The girl went from being scared in their eyes, to a criminal that must be brought down. They were obsessed with finding her. They were paid very well, and they earned their pay. They ran after this girl down allies and through buildings. They plotted and planned traps, but never could seem to catch her. They were so focused they didn't notice when her story changed. She was no longer a daughter. She was a daughter-in-law. They suspected her of gold-digging, but she hadn't taken any money with her when she had run away. That didn't fit, so they explained it all off with amnesia. She didn't know she was running away from her home. What else could it be? Surely the rich man wouldn't make stuff like this up...not that they would have cared if he had. It was now a personal grudge against her that drove them on. They were going to capture her. The only used the police for information. They told them she had been kidnapped, and they needed information about her past. No one ever suspected to try to look up the name of a woman who had been dead for two years, who didn't even have the same last name. The rich man wrote out the check and handed it to his old friend. He had made sure that he had an in with the state government, and he had paid well to have this man appointed. He had no scruples when it came to bribes, but he kept secrets very well. So when the rich man had come to him asking for a fake marriage license, the man was more than willing to help. The date of the wedding was set to the night I had first showed up at the man's house. I was soon married to a young man who I had only met twice. My signature was forged from records they had on file. The license was back-dated and filed away, just in case anyone was curious enough to check up on the story... "It's not rape if we're married," said a voice in my head as I woke with a start. I was still in the port town. But the dream had fel so real... The kid from the hot tub was there. He had kissed me even...I don't know what the dream meant, but as with all my other dreams I didn't doubt it's validity. I was in trouble if I didn't do something soon... That was my dream last night....weird isn't it? Yeah...it happens... |
