Another accident in a location not far
from my ex-senior high school took place on Thursday 28 June 2007, a
crane falling down nearby the bridge of Kuningan, causing a damage
to a Honda SUV, with no significant casualties. Again I hope it has
nothing to do with me, because I am not too smart to interpret such
message if there was any. Except that the bridge reminds me
with my pervious letters to Paris Hilton, "Paris
Bridge to Heaven".

JAKARTA -- A leaking thermal
energy pipeline on Indonesia's main island of
Java has blown up, injuring six people and
shutting down a power plant, officials said
Sunday.
An official from state
electricity firm PLN said that the explosion
occurred on Saturday along a line leading from
nine thermal gas sources in Central Java's Dieng.
"Efforts to repair the leak
are on course and for the time being the
Dieng Thermal Gas Power Plant is not
operating," Mujo Adji, general manager of PLN's
Java-Bali Distribution and Load Management
Center, told Agence France-Presse.
He declined to speculate on
the cause of the explosion but said that the
company operating the 60-megawatt plant, Geo
Dipa Energy Dieng, had said it would take
three |
|
days to repair the leak.
"The plant will remain out of
operation as long as repairs are not completed,"
Adji said.
A nurse at the general
hospital in Central Java's Wonosobo said that
five people had been admitted to intensive care
for burns and respiratory problems with a sixth
was hospitalized on Sunday.
Kompas newspaper said that
the victims had been about 25 meters away from
the leaking pipe when it suddenly exploded,
sending searing water mixed with soil and small
stones into the air.
Indonesia has been struggling
to keep up with demand for electricity,
particularly on the densely populated island of
Java, with interruptions plaguing the network
largely due to old, failing infrastructure. |

I certainly hope it has

as Dieng, like reminding me with the nick name of Lady
