Since the last week of March 2008, some demonstrations appeared in many parts of the world particularly in the Moslem majority countries, responding to the short film "Fitna" posted by a Dutch member of parliament Geert Wilders on the Internet. The word "Fitnah" in Indonesian has the meaning of "slander, calumny".

Although it was said that the film contains five verses from the Holy Koran, but in the news that appeared on Indonesian TV stations only one verse that was exposed, verse 60 from sura 8.

The verse contains the words ".........to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah...", if it was based on the translation made by Yusuf Ali from Lahore in 1934. I am quite sure in 1934 the word "terror" still had no significant meaning, since at that moment the word "terrorism" was not yet famous.

In islamicity.com, I found another translation made by M. Asad that uses no word of "terror", instead as follows: "................so that you might deter thereby the enemies of God..........."

Of course since I am not a teacher of religion, I would make no further explanation about this.

Nevertheless, on the contrary the next verse is actually encouraging peace as follows:

Surah 8 verse 61: "........ But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in Allah. for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things)......"

This verse 61 of Surah 8 can actually overcome many conflicts in this world, since most of the conflicts happen because people have no idea when to stop fighting each other.

Subject:  Message for My Consent and for My Being Alone

Inevitably I could not help to think that the Dutchman's "Fitna" film also contains a message of worry related with my consent to move to the eternity. And I can accept such worry especially for the good of this world.

Since it refers to sura 8 verse 60, so the message for me is in the number "60". In Indonesian, the word for number "six" is "enam", that sounds like "end A.M.". So number "60" is like "end A.M. zero", or zeroing my consent to move to the eternity. The message could be that if I canceled my consent to move to the eternity, it would be dangerous for this world, since my existence in this world could inspire besides good things but also bad things, like terrorism.

And it does make sense to have such worry, because in fact the horrible terrorism attack of twin building WTC in 2001 happened after I made a composition of a painting about you with a twin building and some trees that looks like a huge smoke. And it was in 2001, after I began to fall in love with Rahma Sarita who is an Arab descendant. As if the WTC 911 was inspired by me.

While another terrorism attack, the Bali bomb in 2002, involving Amrosi as one of the key figures. The name of Amrosi is like containing my name A.M. Firmansyah.

On the contrary, the next verse that encourages peace is verse 61. The number 61 is like having the meaning of "end A.M. one", or I should not become the number one person, and it is commensurate with my avoiding politics. It could also has the meaning that I should get married soon, so I will no longer alone, to spread peace to this world.

I hope the polemic of this "Fitna" film would end up soon.

Subject:  Meilono Suwondo and Otto Soemarwoto Died on April 1

A few days ago on 1 April 2008, two distinguished Indonesian figures died: Mr. Meilono Suwondo and Mr. Otto Soemarwoto.

Mr. Meilono Suwondo once the headed the Association of Alumnus of ITB, the famous Institute of Techology in Bandung, from 1994-1999. He was also a politician from PDIP before he resigned in 2004 because of bribery disputes.

While Mr. Otto Soemarwoto was an expert in environment, a professor emeritus at Padjadjaran University. His first name reminds me with Ottoman emperor of Turkey, and he died after Paris Hilton visiting Turkey.

The death of these two persons seemingly related with my consent to move to the eternity, in regard of their names.

From the name of Mr. Meilono Suwondo, it is like having the meaning of "May you not end A.M. zero", because it was like combining the words "May, lo, no, 60". Whereas "May" is from the month of my birthday. "Lo" has the meaning of "you" in Jakarta's language. "No" is from English word. And "Suwondo" is like the last name of my old friend Gatot Suwondo who lived at Surabaya Street number 60.

In the birthday of someone in Indonesia, usually the song is "Panjang Umurnya" which means "Long Live for Him" or "Long Live for Her". But this May should not be long live for me, I think.

While from the name of Mr. Otto Soemarwoto, it is like combining the words "car, myself". Because his first name Otto is like from the word "automobile" or "car". His last name Soemarwoto reminds me with a comedian Marwoto who has a buck teeth like my self. A few years ago I wrote to Rahma Sarita a joke sentence: "don't joke at me about my buck teeth, it would cause Tukul, Marwoto, and others get mad at you..........". Later on Tukul becomes successful in his TV talk show "Empat Mata" or "Four Eyes", in which the first episode has the guests Aline Tumbuan and Rahma Azhari.

The combination of names of Mr. Meilono Suwondo and Mr. Otto Soemarwoto is like having the meaning of "In your birthday at the month of May this year, you're not end A.M. zero, the car accident should be for you".
