Prologue:  The Beginning

One day during the era of the Silver Millenium, Queen Serenity asked for all the royal families of every planet to attend her palace in the Moon Kingdom for a celebration.
"What do you suppose Queen Serenity has to celebrate?" asked Liba out loud to her husband while brushing seven year old Setsuna's hair.
"I suppose it must be something really wonderful if all the royal and noble families are to attend this celebration."  Ectorus answered while surveying his appearence on the full length mirror.  "We will surelyfind out opnce we are there."
Setsuna sat quietly on her mother's bed while Liba brushed the little girl's forest-green hair.  Setsuna watched as maids and knights moved busily around her parent's chamber.  Her father who was the hansomest of men, was being helped by his chamber maid to place a fine gold and white cape on his shoulders.  Setsuna felt itchy.  She glanced downward and frowned at the brand new dress she was wearing, which was very uncomfortable.  *Why am I wearing this fancy dress?*  she wondered with a sour glare at the dress.
"Mother,"- Setsuna ventured to say. "where are we going?"
Liba stopped brushing and laughed at the fact that she had been in trance with all the brushing and her thoughts.  She had completely forgotten to explain to her little princess about the commotion in the palace.  Setsuna had never traveled out of her home planet; or for that matter out of Charon castle.
"Oh Honey!  I'm so sorry.  I have not explained anything to you about our trip.  Come dear, sit on my lap.  Well, you know that your father and I are rulers of Pluto."
         "Yes."
"An you also know that there are other planets that have their own rulers.  We are not the only ones."
Setsuna understood what she was talking about, so she nodded.  She knew exactly what her mother was talking about, but that still did not explain the reason for the trip out of Pluto.  Her mother continued with her explaination.
"Well, Queen Serenity has asked for all the royal familes of every planet to go to her palace."
         "Who is Queen Serenity?"
"Queen Serenity is the ruler of the whole galaxy, and our leader.  She guards a very valuable crystal, that if it fell into the wrong hands, it would bring destruction.  That is why she is the ruler, and the reason you are wearing your best clothes."
"May i tell you something, Mother?"
"You may tell me anything you like, Love."
"This dress really makes me itch."
Liba looked at the perfect features on her beloved daughter's face and saw the serious look in Setsuna's eyes.  Liba had to smother a giggle because she did not want to seem insensitive to her child's great ordeal.  Liba said in the gentlest voice, "I'm sorry dear, but we will be leaving soon.  Just think of it this way; the faster this day is over, the faster you will be out of that fastidious dress."
Setsuna smiled at her mother.  Liba was the most beautiful woman she had ever seen, and everyone she knew shared her opinion.  Liba's short light-green hair complemented her fair skin and big green eyes.  It was an exotic, powerful and beautiful contrast.  Liba was wearing her favorite red gown that gave color to her cheeks, and made her a goddess to be admired.  A firm knock came to the door, and a manly voice came from behind it, "Sir, may I come in?"
"Come in." answered Ectorus while placing a small golden crown on his dark hair.
The man from behind the door came in, and bowed to her father.  Setsuna reconized him as her father's main body guard.  "My King, everything is prepared for your departure."
"Thank you Markus, we're ready." said Ectorus while he turned to his lovely wife and only child who were still sitting on the huge bed.  "Come Setsuna, my love, it is time to depart."
He extended his hand, took Setsuna's small hand and walked with her down the corridors of the palace.  Ectorus was the proudest of fathers and it showed every time Setsuna was near.  His pride could be seen shining all over his magenta eyes, short balck hair, and his tall persona.  There was nothing in this galaxy that could make him happier except to be with the love of his life and the joy of his days.
This was a day that young Setsuna would always remember in her lonely days.  It was surrounded in this tender atmosphere that young, innocent Setsuna set out to meet the people that would play a part in her life, and the future of the galaxy.
