She was the Sweetest Little Puppy Girl! My Family got her when I was just a Baby (we were the same age) We Grew up together. Well there must have been something about her, as she started me on a Long Life time Love for Dogs and all Animals, BiG & small.. Pet and Wild Animals alike. |

| I have always had some kind of cute Loving Creature in my life. From Dogs, cats, Gerbils, Hamsters, Ferrets, Hermit Crabs, and one of my favorites.. Pet Rats!! Yes I love all animals. I find Dogs are Best for me. But I have learned that every different type of animal has its own personality and shows love in different ways. I like to get to know all types of animals. When I Lived upstate in a country area I once got to know a Horse very well. Just as a Friend, not for riding. She was a sweet, affectionate Loving Horse, though the Mother of this horse was the total oppsite. I would bring them both apples and treats every day.. and try to brush them both. But I could not win the mother horse over She would try to kick me every chance she got, and once reached through the fence and Bit my leg!! After that I still brought her apples and treats.. but no longer went close to her (she let me know clearly how she felt about me) I don't know why.. perhaps jealous? But With the other Horse I got very close too.. and Loved her. She would let me pet and brush her all over, and would nuzzle up to me. She would lean her body towards me and Every time I came down the hill to see her she would be neighing with joy, as I was just as thrilled to see her. but sadly That was only for a few months. As I soon went home. |

| I also enjoy other peoples pets, not just my own. Friends and Family pets too. When I was a young child (I think about 5-6 years old) I use to visit a neighbors Dog, a Little white Poodle named "Cindy". She was adoralbe and sweet. I don't remember how I became friends with the dog. But I often would go and knock at the owners door (a sweet older couple) and I would ask if Cindy could come out and play. My Mother told me I even drew a picuter for the Cindy. Cindy was a Good friend to me! |
| The First Small Pet I was allowed to call my own as a child, Was a Gerbil I named Sugar Pie (this was from that song something like.. "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch"..) My Mother took care of The Gerbils for us (as children should not be in full charge of caring for a living creature, no matter what a parent should always supervise in some way). We (my sisters) were allowed to hold them and play with them. My Gerbil was very sweet and gentle. I was pretty young, but I remember it all as a wonderful first small pet, And I Loved her! |

| Over the years I had a few different types of small fuzzy pets. But I must say that Best of the Best small furry pets is a Pet Rat. I have never experenced so much Love from such a small animal. I describe them like a miniature dog. My First Pet Rat was named Baby. I got her when she was about 8 weeks old. She was the cutest Little thing. She Loved to spend all her time with me. I was an adult when I got her.. but a Rat is the Best small furry pet you can get for a child, though again, You as an adult need to supervise all care of any pet in your home. Pet Rats are known for NOT bitting. though you must get one that is use to being handle by people, Feeders Rats are often terrified of people and could bite, though one of My Sweetest Rats (Lester Girl) was from a "Feeder" Tank. I will tell you more about her after this. Pet Rats are Domesticated. They are not "street" Rats (Sewer Rats or Dirty Rats). A pet Rat could not survive out side of your home (well not for long) Its Like a comparing a Poodle to a Wolf.. not the same anymore. Well Baby was so sweet and gentle to me and everyone. She would give kisses to your hand or face. She Loved to play wrestling (with my fingers) and she enjoyed a game of tag, I would let her run on my bed and chase her with my hand through the toys, and when I caught her I would roll her over and tickle her belly. She very enjoyed sitting up by my shoulder and just hanging out.. and if she had to go to the bathroom, she would paw at me and get Jittery.. and I would put her down in her cage and she would "go make". She would sit with me for hours.. I would watch a movie with her and she was content to be with me. She had so much to give me then I can say. But all My Rats would come running to their cage door when I would come home and open my bedroom door.. they would be holding on to the door and waiting to be the first out when I opened it, and would come running up my arm to greet me, Just like how a dog greets you when you come home.. excited just to see you!! |

| I have Worked several different types of jobs. From Working in a Grocery Store as a Cashier to in an Office doing Clerical work. But I have known I always wanted to find some way to work with Animals and help them. Well I got my first chance when I worked as a Kennel Attendent in a Humane nonkill Animal Adoption Center. The Work itself was the most rewarding I have ever done. I Loved what I did. Taking Care of the Dogs & Cats and helping them find new homes.Since then I worked in other animal related feilds. Years ago a Friend and Neighbor decided to start her own pet sitting business, and I was very interested. But I was not sure about it. But I saw how wonderful and rewarding it could be, it convinced me to what I needed to do. I find Pet Sitting is the Best For me. It has so many benifits. I am Happy and Lucky to be able to do this. I don't find it feeling like "work" at all. It is a Pleasure and privilege to care for peoples pets. It is not only a great way to be with animals, but it gives me plenty of time to spend with my 2 Dogs (Clover & Sprite). |
