Dr. Rebecca Coulter | NDP | Other: several friends who are adoptees, adoptive parents,or birth parents | with contact vetoes | with contact vetoes | There are special problems with respect to international
adoptions and birth records.
As you undoubtedly know, NDP MPP, Marilyn Churley, has long been trying to get her adoption disclosure bill passed. I support Bill 77. |
Deb Matthews | Liberal | This will acknowledge receipt of your email concerning Open Adoption
records. I fully agree that the long waiting list must be cleared and I
am prepared to support your organization in this regard.
I support adult adoptees having access to their adoption records if the birth parent(s) is registered. I do not feel thet adoptive parents should be allowed to prevent their children from registering to be reunited with their birth families. I feel that adoptees should have access to the medical history records contained in their adoption files. I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to respond to your questions and I look forward to working with you in Queen's Park |
