State University Anime Club
All members of the club should read and understand
the Constitution to better understand the club's objectives and goals.
Section 1. Purpose
1-The purpose of Hajime Anime Club
of WSU is the following-
1.1-Enrich WSU Students and non-students
in Japanese animation, art/culture, and music.
1.2-Provide a place where those whom are interested in anime, can convene
and meet to view anime.
1.3- Provide those whom are interested in anime, a place where they can
acquire some anime.
Section 2. Membership Requirements
1-Any individual wishing to become
a member of Hajime Anime Club of WSU need to meet the following requirements:
1.1-Have an interest in Anime (required)
1.2-Have an interest in Manga (optional)
1.3-Have an interest in Japanese language/art/culture (optional)
1.4-Filled out and submitted a membership application. *1 (required)
1.5-Meet a $10 semesterly fee *2 (required)
1.6-Be at least 18 years of age *3 (negotiable)
1.7-Have an interest in subtitling *4 (optional)
Section 3. Procedure for Member
Induction
1-All applicants with a sincere
interest in anime and Japanese culture will not be turned away as long
as they can meet the requirements in Section 2.
2-All applicants are allowed membership
as long as they fill out and submit the application and pay the first
semesterly fee when accepted into the club.
3-Applicants will become a full
member once they receive their club T-shirt at their first club meeting.
Section 4. Duration of Membership
1. Membership is carried on to the
next school year as long as members pay their semesterly dues.
2.Membership is terminated if the following occurs:
2.1-Member requests to no longer
be a member of the club.
2.2-Member fails to pay/ is behind on their semesterly club dues ($10.00)

2.3-Member repeatedly violates club rules or bylaws and/or WSU campus
rules/laws *6.
Section 5. Member Privilages
1-Upon becoming a member of Hajime
Anime Club, members will receive a Club T-shirt.
2-Members, whom have paid their semester dues of $10.00, will be allowed
to watch anything Hajime Anime Club fansubs or get fansubbed when it is
convenient.
3-Members will get the oppurtunity to take part in subtitling *7.
4-If and when funds are available, members will be able to attend one
or more of the anime expo's held during the year.
5-Members may be able to borrow the club anime and/or anime of other members
through the Librarian.

*1-There is no deadline for applications, however, whenever an individual
enters the anime club they must pay the club due of $10.00 even if they
are not inducted at the beginning of the semester. Dues are collected
each semester regardless of the length of time one is a member.
*2-Semesterly fees/dues are used to cover the cost of club T-shirts received
when applicants become members. They are also used for club-sponsored
events, trips, and equipment/materials.
*3-The minimum 18 year age requirement is due to some content in certain
anime. This is negotiable with the officers and those under the minimum
age requirement may be able to work something out with the club.
*4-Subtitling is an independent project of the certain club members and
is not required of all members; it's on an interest/voluntary participation
basis only. The only thing required of the members in this area is viewing
the finished subtitled projects the help spot any grammatical English
translation errors.
*5-Dues are required to be paid within one week of the new spring and
fall semester every school year. Dues will be given to the Treasurer/Librarian
who will keep a record of all member fees and financial contributions.
Members will be given two warnings if dues are not in by the alloted time
after which they are put on probation, prohibiting them to take part in
meetings and club activities and benefits. After two weeks of probation,
membership of the individual is put in consideration for revokement.
*6-It is up to the members and officers to deem what grounds for membership
revokement and termination. Members decide what if something is ground
for excommunication, but Officers finalize that decision through majority
vote.
*7-Subtitling will begin when funds are acquired to obtain the equipment
needed.
