Step 1.

• Are you sure that the page you want to add has some windsurfing content? See the tips for a further explanation of what is meant by 'windsurfing content'. If you think it does then please cruise on to Step 2. If it doesn't then sorry you can't join Forward Loop, but check out the Webring instead.

  Step 2. - Registering your Site

• Fill out this form and submit it. This registers your site with Forward Loop and gives you a Site ID number. Please note that you are not yet part of the loop, the actual insertion is done later (If you don't have a forms capable browser, you can email me at loopmaster@mindless.com and I will register you).

  Step 3. - Adding the Forward Loop controls

• Next, save yourself a copy of the two Forward Loop graphics you see below (in Step 4). DO NOT reference them off someone else's server unless you've asked them for permission first! I called the one on the left fwdloop.gif and the one on the right flnext.gif.

  Step 4.

  You can add the Forward Loop controls below to your homepage manually. This is so that others can navigate the loop from your page. The easiest way to do this is to copy the HTML fragment directly from the source code of this page, and then paste it into your own homepage.

Step 5.

• Make sure the fragment points to images on your own site. The Forward Loop link, however, should still point to http://www.oocities.org/Colosseum/2196/fwdloop.html.

  Step 6.

• Change the e-mail address and name from __________ to your own.

  Step 8.

• Change the four references to http://www.webring.org/cgi-bin/webring?ring=fwdloop&id=____ (one on the flnext.gif image and the other three a bit further down) so that the ____, is replaced by your Site ID number. For example, if your site ID is 375, the href should be something like http://www.webring.org/cgi-bin/webring?ring=fwdloop&id=375&next. Note - your controls will all link back to the Forward Loop homepage until you are inserted into the loop.

  Step 9. - Insertion into the loop

• You can be inserted into the loop only by the Loopmaster. To do this E-mail the Loopmasterat loopmaster@mindless.com and ask me to add you to the loop. Be sure to include your Site ID Number. I will want to look at your page to make sure it has some windsurfing content and that the Forward Loop HTML fragment on your page is okay.
• After checking out your page, I will take your Site ID Number and use it to add you to the loop. I will then e-mail you telling you you've been added.
• That's it! You should now be able to navigate the entire loop and make it back to your own page.

Important tips

• Try to only add pages to the loop that you think are "worthy" of the honour. If the page sucks, don't add it (would you really like to be in the Loop with a whole lot of crap pages?). If it is just links and/or has no content, don't add it unless it is really deserving (ie having heaps of cool windsurfing pic's, or is a really cool list of links). If it is just a hatchet job on other people's stuff, don't add it. Try to only add pages that you think will enhance the everyday life of the "windsurfing community".
