Bubbette, the Beautiful Iguana...is gone.
Click here to go to her Memorial Page
She was adopted as a hatchling by her loving parents on May 18, 1998. She started out as "Bubba", but grew into a lovely young lady, hence the name change to Bubbette.
Interesting Facts:
**Bubbette is a girl, and she had over 30 eggs in her tummy before she was spayed in April 2000.  Here are  pictures of another iguana's spay surgery.
**Bubbette likes to be hand fed.
**Her nickname is "Bubbs".
**She has two very round eyes and a long tail.
**She likes to hide under the covers on the bed and sleep in on weekends.
More about our pet:
Bubbette lives in Durham, NC with Ted and Darry.  She has a nice big house that she stays in during the day.  Daddy built it for her, and she moved into it in December 1999.  She has a basking cage that allows her to hang out on the deck when the weather is good.  This cage collapses flat for travel when she visits Grandma in Knoxville, TN.  She loves to ride in the car and look at everything.  She enjoyes meeting new people, and even likes her vet, Dr. Dan.  She wants everyone to know that iguanas take a lot of time and are not cheap to keep.  She needs fresh food every day, and a Mega-Ray bulb made especially for reptiles (not a plant light).  She needs a big house with lots of humidity and a heat gradient between 75-95 degrees.  She outgrew her first house in less than 2 years.
(If you can't build the house yourself, there's a
guy who will build a custom cage for you.)
