| McKenzie, our little "princess" is growing like a weed. She (and Alex) are now 5 years old. They are in separate Kindergarten classes this year, by their own choice, and that seems to be working well. Kristian is still a BIG part of her life. She is no longer in the same class with him but she talks about him every day. She is sure to tell me each day when I pick her up after school if she saw or played with Kristian that day. Although it's old, I've kept the conversation she had with David last year (2007) on this site just because it's so doggone cute. She is still quite smitten, though. McKenzie also has her first "boyfriend". She swears that she "married Kristian" and even came home and told us she kissed him. The conversation went something like this: Kenzie: I kissed Kristian Daddy: What? Mommy: Oh, on the cheek? Kenzie: No. On the lips. Mommy (with Daddy standing with his jaw dragging the floor): On the lips? Kenzie: Yes. I asked him and he said I could. Mommy: What did you do then? Kenzie: I told him ' Thank You' . Mommy: What did Kristian say? Kenzie: He said 'You're Welcome'. At her five year checkup, McKenzie weighed 41 lbs and was 44 2/8 inches tall. She has really done well putting on weight since the GI doctor raised her Prevacid dosage. We've noticed that she gets sick far less often and it's wonderful to see her feeling so much better. Kenzie is also playing her 3rd season of soccer. Mom was going to coach her, but in the end decided being a head coach of 2 teams was too much and so she handpicked a good friend to be Kenzie's coach. Along with that decision, Mom also was semi-drafted to the team as an assistant. (That makes 3 teams Mom works with!) As we've done with the older boys, we switched to doing school photos for the twins. McKenzie's picture will be posted as soon as I get it (as well as her most recent soccer photo) scanned in. |
