Our darling baby girl is now 2 1/2.  She has blossomed and grown so much that she is barely recognizable from the baby we brought home.  She has quite the personality and is very opinionated (uhm...like maybe her mom) and is not afraid to let you know her feelings on things.  She recently started yelling "EBAH" (ever) at us when we do something she doesn't approve of. It usually happens when she asks for something like a piece of candy or the like and we say no.  A few seconds later, her face contorts into a face like a demon, her eyebrows furrowed and definite anger showing in her once angelic face... and then... it explodes EBAH!!!!!! Sometimes it's even accompanied by a push or hit.  It was funny the first time or two. Now, not so much.  She has also felt it perfectly fine to call us names (like calling me "Stinky Poo Poo" one day) or telling us we are "Bad".
The pink blanket (once called "Mine" but now known as "Blankie") is still very much a part of every day life and we are actively searching for a 2nd Blankie to add to the mix just in case the unthinkable should happen.
She is having a wonderful time with her "friends" at Mom's Day Out and the church nursery on Sundays.  She very much enjoys being with other kids her age.  Sometimes she has a little difficulty leaving Mom or Dad at first, but she always has a great time once she is over the initial separation.  She is already calling names of letters and numbers, though not always getting them exactly right. (Almost all letters are "A" and while she can say the numbers 1-10, she can't actually always count the number of items.)  She definitely tries, though.
She will have her tonsils and adenoids removed on December 3, 2008 to hopefully rid her of her sleep apnea. The doctor says it may also help reduce the allergy issues and ear infections she gets. We are hopeful, though worried since she is so young.  She will spend her 2nd night ever in a hospital due to her age, but mommy or daddy will, of course, be with her the entire time.
Her latest pictures taken in in August are below as well as the ones taken when she was 1 1/2 (Feb 2008) that I never managed to post.
