Welcome to the Crystal Shores Department of Tourism.

This Bureau is devoted to walking one through life on the Isle, giving information on what one could expect if choosing to live on Crystal Shores. Be mindful: there are tremendous highs and tumultuous pitfalls ahead if you choose to stay, as there would be in any civilization. Your common sense and gut feelings should temper reactions to actions more so than any text-based advice we could give you. Yet, this section will serve you well with familiarizing yourself with our everyday lifestyles, thus helping you to adjust here without a baptism of fire, a profound sense of abandonment, or even a mild discomfort of being "the new face."

*Arrival to the Silver Seaport, the Gateway to Crystal Shores*

You got here in one of two ways: The least taxing way would have been on the back of a dragon as it took to the skies; but most have journeyed here by boat. If a hardy sea voyage has just been endured as you came from lands near or far, then it's likely you're near desperation to just get off the damned ship and step onto dry land. Your belly might be growling, your hair might be matted with salt and dirt.

You disembark from the ship and are now standing on the docks, trying to get your "land legs" back..your body still in motion with the ships. The new people are always picked out easily by the slight sway in their stances as they try to maintain balance for a few hours, or even a few days after arrival.

Why did you come here? Perhaps your homeland was turned to burning ruins by an uprising; maybe you'd been wrongly accused of a crime where you resided, and are on the run for your life; or could the wanderer in you just have sought somewhere new? Whatever the reason, you are here now, and should stop in the Citizen Registration Office before exploring the Island..you'll be given a bit of gold to help with expenses as you settle down.

Getting your bearings as you leave the Registrant's office, you pause to marvel at the beautiful island that's before you. To your right, just behind the dunes and down a pathway, is the Bayside Bazaar, your one-stop shopping area for any and every provision you'll need or want while on the island.

Straight ahead begins the seemingly never-ending thick, dark jungles, areas not to be traveled while you're recuperating from your journey. You should be in optimal health before entering there, for many dangers lie within.

Off the path and left, follow the torches to the beachfront, to find the establishment of choice, where the locals eat, drink, socialize, and seek their pleasures...the aptly-named #Pleasuredome.

Some homes are visible on the bluffs; those with the most splendid seaviews are those of the Isle's wealthy. Some small keeps are on the main paths, and other modest homes are set back a bit from the roadway. You might look to see what homes are available for resale purchase, or perhaps you might camp on the beach awhile until you save enough gold to build your own. Whatever you choose, the climate is favorable and you can take your time as you decide what to do next.

But you're famished and need a meal, or your flask's run dry and you wish a drink. The Pleasuredome awaits you...
