You're a bit stunned to see some of the women and men you suspect are prostitutes from the docks, hanging about the entrance to the grand Pleasuredome. Averting your eyes to escape their searing gazes, you pass them without a word, and enter, glancing around inside.

And rest assured when we tell you: You're not the first to be a bit shocked seeing a steel dancing cage suspended by a chain, seven feet from the ground, with scantily clad dancers writhing inside.

A minotaur waits on you..yes, a minotaur. He's rather ugly, but is efficient in serving you, and more often than not, forgets to charge you for your meal and beverage. And you peoplewatch awhile. Sometimes there's entertainment planned; other times, peoplewatching is entertainment in itself. If you're brave, you might strike up a conversation. Or, you might be spotted in the crowd and shown around the place. You might even stay a bit longer than you originally intended.

Sometimes you'll see a uniformed worker (GM) behind the bar, who will suddenly announce that an excursion will be leaving promptly from #Terrordome, the coliseum on the Shores devoted to bloodsport and adventure. These events are suspenseful, perilous, and greatly satisfying. You're urged to tag along, even as a newcomer..this is one way to "get your feet wet" and build your alliances.

Or perhaps the event you've stumbled upon is far more tame? These could be things such as contests, bardic readings, even games of chance. Some say there's an 'underground' casino running...is it true? Find out for yourself.

Well, you see your first sunset on the Shores tonight. The sky in blazing hues of pinks, purples..colors you never envisioned being so vibrant. Then the darkness comes. When the moon is bright, it's as if a beacon was being directed right upon the isle. When the clouds veil it..well, it could be quite frightening for those unaccustomed to the lands.

So back inside you go to #Pleasuredome. Or perhaps you've rented accomodations in a nearby keep, while you plan to squirrel away gold for a luxurious stay at the White Sands Resort, or having the goal mentioned before in the forefront of your mind..owning your own home.

But how else to supplement your income while here? Certainly you can't get by on looks alone..
