:::sits in her cabin, at the table, cup of coffee within easy reach, as she begins to write:::
I havent wandered out of the cabin in the last couple of days. Solitude is beginning to look pretty appealing to me. Too much has happened. The death of Mairin...Uncle Alterio. Everything.
Its been nice to sit here in what is mine once agian. No longer hiding from guards, or crazed mages. Though, I do wonder what has been happening with everyone as of late. I worry about Vixxy and the children. I worry about Uncle Alterio too, though, it doesnt seem to do any good. Gods know I wont risk another messenger's life, and his scorn to find out.
I left something for him, late last eve, Im sure by now he's found it. I havent seen him or heard anything from him, so, likely its been taken out with all of the other Manor garbage. I did check in on Lia and the others. At least they seemed to be sleeping peacefully. I would love to go to the Manor and see them, but, I doubt I would be allowed inside.
:::sighs heavily, taking a sip of the coffee before continuing:::
Perhaps today I will wander back out to the dome, just to find out what has been happening. Hopefully I'll get to see Lia, or even Mia and Alkane. I dont know, however. I dont know how things have been at the Manor. Perhaps I will run into Vixxy and be able to find out. I hope so. I hope all is well there.

:::sits in the dome, journal stretched open across her legs as she begins to write, talking all the while to Alianna:::
Uncle Alterio....he confuses me so. First he sends a dancer over to me to ask if my runners live longer without delivering garbage. Then he offers myself and Vixxy a way out of something...which I will elaborate on in a bit. I dont understand...either he hates me..or he doesnt. I wish he would make up my mind.
:::chuckles lightly recalling her marriage:::
Vixen and I...man, our mouths get us into soo much trouble. Tonight, Timothy Carazzi came wandering into the dome...touting free weddings. Vixxy pipes up...'Lyrias and I are getting married'...of course...it was all a joke.
Well, in a ceremony that was all together far too quick...we were legally and bindingly married. Now, the only way for us out of this is to either pay Timmy 100,000 gp, have Ben sleep with him, or a) write a 1000 word essay, b) do an hour of cornerstanding for Uncle Alterio. I believe we both chose the essay and cornerstanding.
Gods...what a messed up night.
:::recalls the whole ordeal with Jasmin and Mumphra:::
How stupid I was. Jasmin, there kneeling before me...frightened horribly by Mumphra. Mumphra walked through me as if I were not even standing there. So, I attempted to step through him to get to Jas. When I did, he trapped me inside his body, taking control of me. What a cold...black...feeling. To have no control over my own body...no control over my own voice. Jasmin...poor Jasmin...begging all the while for him to release me. She should not have begged him for me...I can fight him...I am not weak willed, or minded.
Perhaps people will soon learn to quit the treachery, the distrust...all of it. And return to the way things were. I do not hate my Uncle, nor do I wish him ill. I only wish things were the same as they once were.

"drags herself out of bed and stretches after a very long night of tossing and turning and heads to the kitchen for coffee after checking on the children....she sits down to write while waiting for the coffee"
Well I think yesterday was the strangest day in months.
First a very strange midget enters Dome announcing a game. The winner could win 100,000 gp and the loser to spend a night with him "cringes remembering that and almost didnt enter the game" He asked a question of each of us ..Me then Nestasia then Alterio. Well he didnt ask Alterio a question. But Nestasia and I answered correctly. We received 50,000gp each.
Then a short time later Timothy Carazzi comes in and Lyrias and I find ourselves married.. to each other. You cant get any stranger than that. Well i wanted to maybe marry some day but hmm not to another female...We have a few ways out of this however. Pay Timothy 100,000 gp or Black Warlock has to spend a night with him. OR we depend on Alterio to get us out of this. 1000 word essay indeed. I dont think I know a 1000 words..unless you count all the curse words I know. PLUS stand in the corner. I think our best way out would to be talk Black into spending the night with him.
"she glances at the paper and feels ill" OH gods we will never live this down. And it was really just a joke. WE had no intentions of going through with a ceremony. We were just joking. But in once fast sentence we were pronounced Married...it being legal and binding??? That had to have been the fasted ceremony is history. Arggggg I dont think i can show my face at Dome ..ever again.
When am I suppose to have time to write an essay? I have to go shopping at the Boutique for the children. Alterio gave me 5000gp to purchase clothing for them. I have deliveries to make also.

::::She sits with her morning tea, mumbling as she pokes her quill into to the all-but-dry inkwell before setting it to the last clean page of her current journal::::
Despite my reluctance to head into the turmoil that seems to be running rampant around this island, it looks like it's time to hit town...seems I'm running out of everything all at once here! Even this cursed quill ~she splotches a few blobs of ink onto the page cursing quietly to herself~ is wearing out! Yes, definitely time to stock up.
::::She takes a sip of tea and a deep intake of breath as a soft half-smile creeps onto her lips::::
Hmmm...perhaps I shall run into the Masked One while I'm out. Each day as I find myself thinking of him, I can't help but smile just a little. The more I reflect on it, the more I realize I actually enjoyed myself with him. It was actually nice to spend some time with someone other than myself after so long. I wonder if he felt the same. So shy, really... ~she chuckles quietly~ he stumbled and stammered, blushing...but only at first. Very endearing actually. Once relaxed, he seemed to enjoy it too. Yes...it might be nice to meet with him again. Besides which, I still keep his ring. I must remember to return it next time. In fact, I'm surprised he hasn't come for it yet.
::::She stops to think for a moment, then giggles softly before making another attempt to scrape a few more thoughts onto the page::::
I wonder what would happen if he showed up here. I wonder if I could...
::::The words fade away as does the ink in her quill...the thoughts, however, remaining. She tosses the useless instrument on the journal with a light chuckle and a gentle shake of her head before downing the remainder of her tea, then goes to face the day::::

:::sits out on the porch of her tree-cabin, the Sandpaper lying beside her chair, after its been read. Taking quill to paper, she writes, all the while, chuckling and shaking her head::::
I should have known this would appear in the Sandpaper. How could it not? Something as crazy as Vixen and I being married..of course its going to be out in the public eye. I half-way expected it and quite frankly, would have been terribly surprised not to have seen it there.
Honestly..those people who know Vixen and I well enough, know the two of us are always pulling practical jokes and pranks. I am devoutly hoping they will see this as the fruit of such a joke...and our big mouths. Still....I have to agree with Vix...something about the whole cermeony isnt right. It cant be legal. Senses take it that this is an elaborate joke...someway of proving a point. I dont know, however...but, I most certainly intend to try and find out. Especially before paying Timothy 100,000gp..or offering up Ben as payment. Cornerstanding...everyone knows all of the Brats hate that. And writing? I barely find time enough to log all of this into my journal...much less write a paper of 1000 words. Ah well...
::::smiles as she thinks back to lunch today with Vixen and the children::::
It was so good to see all of the children agian. To spend time talking with Vixen and playing games with them. For the longest time...anytime Ive needed help..Vixen was always there. She is indeed a good friend, regardless of what others may think of her. It was wonderful to see Lia smiling and giggling. Gods know she's had a hard enough time. I've missed them all soo much.
:::looks out noting the time...realizing how close it is to supper..and growls::::
I promised dinner to Alianna...and here I am writing in this book! I had best hurry, and get everything at least started. I hope she enjoys pot roast with all the vegetables, a salad, and potatoes. I think she will...at least, I hope she does.
~Lyrias~
::::leaves the journal to dry as she quickly rises, moving inside to get the pot roast cooking, and prepare the rest of the dinner for Ali::::

:::::: He walks along the trail, heading into town to pick up a few things. He chuckles as he notices he has taken the long way, which just happens to lead past Rowsy's cottage. As he gets there he stops before it and smiles. Without hesitation he walks up onto the small porch and knocks, hopng she is hme and may join him on his walk into town. Nothing. She must have already left for the day. He decides to sit for a bit in the hopes that she comes back. In the meantime, he takes out his journal and begins writing to help pass the time. ::::::
Rowsy. I miss her. It's funny, even though we've spent but a small amount of time together, I find myself missing her and thinking of her more and more each day. I've come to the conclusion that I can no longer hide in the shadows of fear and shyness, and will simply take a step forward, into the light. Hopefully that step will take me into her arms.
The dreams of her are still there of course, spurring me on to be more open about myself to her. To tell her...some...of my past. They are no longer a frightening thing, for now that I have met her, spent some small amount of time with her, I can see that she is indeed the sweet and gentle person I knew somehow she would be.
I wish she were here right now. I want to speak to her again, tell her more of myself and ask of her own life experiences in return. I long to be with her, hold her in my arms, feel her soft lips pressed to mine lovingly... No. Not yet. We've barely spoken but a bit. I need to clear my mind of such torturous thoughts. I truly do love her, this I know, the physical contact is secondary by far to the fact that I have finally met a woman who make me consider speaking of my past. And perhaps... one day... No. I cannot remove the mask... ever.
So much for that kiss I long for so much. ~he chuckles quietly to himself~
:::::: He looks down the road to see if anyoe approaches and sighs, then looks back to his journal. ::::::
Well, it looks like she's not coming back anytime soon and I really need to go into town for some supplies. Seems I'm running out of ink for some reason. Strange. One of those mysteries that shall never be solved no doubt. ~Now he actually laughs out loud, a deep, melodious laugh that seems to carry on the wind.~ Yes... I really do need to get going. Who knows? Perhaps I shall run into her in the marketplace. I do miss my ring... but strangely, surprisingly, not as much as I miss her.
:::::: He sets his journal down to dry and pulls out a single, blank parchment. He can't leave without leaving her something to let her know he was here. He eyes his dwindling supply of ink and sighs, figuring he has jst enough for a single poem... for her. He writes it out quickly as the words once more seem to flow from him effortlessly. As he finishes, he closes his now dry journal and stands. Before turning to leave and make his way into town, he slips the single parchment under her door.
