:::sitting peacefully on the chaise she has positioned to take in the light of the moon in her suite, she drags out her old journal, dipping a quill, and begins to write. Her writing taking on the normal way of pen and paper, instead of the way she normally speaks, as she does when deep in thought:::
I believe that I have made Benjamin mad at me. He did not want me to fight the sharken last evening. But, how can I make him understand that I live here too, I have a brother who is deaf. What better way to keep him safe than to eliminate the danger?
I do hope he isnt terribly mad at me. Next time, I shall do as he asks, whether I truly want to, or not.
Despite the anger I had with him when I found out he was still married to Alianna... I cannot seem to let go. Despite the needlings of Sir Carazzi, I cannot let go. There is something to the man that draws me near. Im still not sure what it is, even.
:::closes her eyes, the sight of Benjamin, kneeling, eyes mangled, and so bloody...so bloody, returning, almost like the face of her dead husband...::::
When he reached up, placing my palm against his eyes, asking me if I could save them.. I wanted to weep. I tried. At first, it didnt work. I knew I would expend every last ounce of energy in me to make his eyes better. I tried again. This time, it did work. To his pleasure, and mine. Something in that fight had seemed to snapped him out of his regression. He was the Benjamin I had grown to care for. Once again, he was who he was supposed to be. I was so relieved.
:::dwells on her brother, Bailey, as she writes a bit more::::
Bailey...he was fine when I returned home. Though, not quite himself. I dont know what is bothering him, he wont tell me. I have asked him, and all he does is shrug his shoulders at me. I wish he would tell me.
::thinks on herself a bit:::
Well, time to go back to the person I was. Time to rekindle my center, get it right. Balanced once again. I believe I will work on the gardening. I do love the flowers around the house. Perhaps even bring a few inside, liven the rooms up just a wee bit. The house does need some decorating to it. It is sort of bland.
:::she stretches on the lounger, nearly upsetting everything onto her skirt, and decides it best to go on to bed, sprinkling a tiny bit of sand onto the pages, closing the journal::::

Seems to me, that many of the people on this Island have gone mad. Or were never 'right' to begin with. There is one man who, at the last time I saw him, was calling this elf "Queen", and another woman, who is human, calling the same elf "Mommy". Now, I may not be the brightest candle in the chandelier, but, even I know there is not a drop of elven blood in that woman.
Since coming here, there has been one man that I have actually spoken to. Though, Im sure if he knew me better, he likely wouldnt have said a word to me. Much less have given me a voucher for 500gp to buy clothes. I believe his name was...Alterio. Yes, that was he. There was a gentleman, and the same woman present when mention was brought up about the voucher. According to their words, there will be a price to his kindness. I can only imagine at that price, especially having heard the talk of this man and his ways with the women here. Well, no doubt, he will be in for somewhat of a rude awakening. Yes, thats right, doll... I wont be one to lie in your bed. I may be a common thief, and one in hiding, no less, but a common street girl, or dock whore, Im not. Even ~I~ have my standards.
I have to do something... I have no where to live. I sleep here on this beach. Nothing has bothered me yet. Though, I did catch sight of something that terrified even me. ~Me~. The one who escaped having her hands removed. It looked like a shark, but, it had legs like a man. And fins, too. Then everyone around the Pleasuredome came out, and ten more showed up. They fought, and seemed like they had a jolly good time at it. Eventually, the beasts retreated. Now, that is something I do hope to not have to encounter one night, late, while I lie here asleep. I know my instincts would carry me through, but, could even myself react quickly enough to get away from the beast? I dont know. They seemed fairly agile for something so big.
Perhaps I will go and try to find myself a...ugh...a job. Something has to be done. I know I cant remain on the beach forever. Besides, it does not bode well for me to be out in the open. Who knows whom the next ship will bring in with it...
Hmm..well, thoughts are muddled, and I am tired. Time to cut this to the quick.

:As he carries the letter to Halfdan's abode, makes a stop in one of the new places in Bayside Bazaar, then he stops in the guest cottage at Carazzi Manor. He looks around at the surroundings, then back to the main house with envy. Shaking his head, he writes a few lines before continuing on to Halfdan's.:
You know, he promised me that I'd find a good life here.
Yet I'm in a damned guest cottage.
No elegance, no opulence. I could've taken my chances on the mainland and had a bit more luxury there.
He's given me a menial labor position in the market, but that can barely cover my expenses.
I want to branch out. So I stopped at the bank and put in for a loan; I'm sure it'll be approved being as that I put him as a co-signer. I just hope they don't contact him. But would he truly mind parting with some gold to make good on his words of what I'd find here?
He said I could start anew. But with what, the pittance of 250 gp they gave me at the citizenship office?
I want what they have. I'm not going to steal from them, but I'll be damned if I have to wade in animal blood until I'm an old man, to get it. This should work out nicely enough.
Now to play messenger boy and carry this out to the slaveowner.. I had best be approved for that loan, or else I will have to come up with another plan. But living like a pauper is not for me, and I refuse to do so much longer.

*sits in her room at her desk, her journal lay open in front of her, a small smile on her face*
Dearest Journal,
There is much to write about but yet I am at a loss of words. *smiles* It seems Char and Eyas are getting..closer is the right word I think to describe it. Char is worried though that Eyas doesn't truly feel the way he suggests that he feels, simply becuase his comments are often said in humor...perhaps he feels the same way about her humor as well.
Recently Kental has returned to the island, I hadn't really expected him to do so and now Char thinks that he is jealous of Attrei. *shakes her head* I don't know what to think, last night at the dome he was questioning Attrei about his relationship with me and if I was happy, but he never came over and asked me about it, he asked Attrei for me. Bah, why do men have to be like that? Women can speak for themselves, Mags does all the time. After Kental spoke with Attrei last night he left and didn't return for some time, when he did he was happy and Eyas was as well, I didn't get the chance to ask him about it becuase I was drug away by some imps and when I returned I walked into the dome just in time to here Attrei telling Char and Eyas that he thought he loved me. *pauses for a moment to take a drink of water* He says that is the reason he flirts so much, to cover it up. We talked about it at the dome and our conversation ended up with him asking if he could court me, officially that is. *glances down at the necklaces and the braclet attached to a ring that Attrei gave her* I told him I didn't know if I loved him or not, that love is not something I have ever felt for a man and that I can't explain how I feel because I just don't know how to. He seemed to understand and things are well. *sighs* Well journal, I do believe I will end my writing here and I assure you that there will be more to write in the future.
Journal Entry, 12 December, Rosalyn Lovine

CAPTAIN'S LOG: ENTRY 87
The past few days have gone splendidly for my crew and I. Although it seems that we may not be able to leave the island for a while, none of us mind. This place is beautiful, and I have already met many of its unique people. A few days ago, I tasted the sweet flavor of victory once again. I helped a small party of people fight the dreaded "Sharken". These creatures were no match for my bolts of lightning. I haven't had a success like this for a while.
On top of that, I convinced Eyas to join my crew of pirates. I had a difficult time negotiating with him, but he finally accepted my tempting offer. He is taking the rank of First Mate, since my "original" First Mate lost his mind. Although Eyas is no pirate himself, his skills will be useful to me. After all, a true pirate doesn't know how to be surreptitious, and my crew is full of true pirates.
As each day passes, the memories of my homeland continue to haunt me more and more. I doubt that I am going insane, but instead, I fear that it is a warning of events to follow in the near future.
My younger brother is still alive, I am sure of that. Or else, my mistakes would not continue to irritate me in my dreams.
Journal Entry, 13 December, Morte Geist.

Well another page, and quite a bit to write.
First off I have accepted a new poition as the First Mate on Captain Geist's ship, the Demonshadow. I had quite a time negotiating with him, and was sure to make it clear to him that I'm not going to follow everyone of his orders to the letter, and will not always be on his ship. He was angry at first, of course, but I reminded him of the debt he owed me....his life, which calmed him down, for now.
Another piece of great news, the theft I was hired to perform was a success. Last eve Lord Neo, my brother, Attrei, and I, stalked to Gyanis' shop. Neo was clumsy, and attracted a guard's attention with all the clamour. Attrei, being quick on his wit, cast an illusion about Neo to make him appear as a bum as he stepped out of the shadows. He told the guard he was looking for a cat, and the guard told him to check elsewhere. Then Attrei cast an illusion upon me, rendering me invisible as I picked the lock to the shop and stepped inside. The money was not too difficult to find, it took me a bit of searching, and althoughI lost two picks in the process *stops writing and glances at his set of picks, two of them lying broken on the table* I was able to quickly locate the gold and stalk out...the only other problem I faced was my tripping on an animal in the streets of the bazaar, attracting the guard once more. My brother again came to my aid, and explained that as a wreckmaster, he was merely on patrol, with me as company. *chuckles* I should have him near me more often when I steal...so, after last eve, I walk away at least 5,000 gold richer.
Thinks have grown....odd I suppose is the word that best describes the relationship I hold with Char. I considered it a friendship, and nothing more. However, it seems to have been growing past that as of late...I do nae know how to express it right now, in thoughts or words...I'm too fatigued to try and decipher the script of what our relationship truly is. I am still staying at her home, and am going to have to pay her rent sooner or later...I hate this leaching...
Mags seems to believe that Dracored, Attrei, and I have tampered with the isle's water supply, making all the men go daft. I would normally think nothing of it, but she seems to take this thought too seriously, and treats it as though it were certain fact. I sometimes worry about Mags' sanity...
And about Dracored...I can no longer bare any animosity towards him, even though he has threatened me and my friends, has proven to be insolent towards his former master, and tries his best to show everyone that he cares for no one but himself. Why? He saved my brother from a black dragon...who was set on eating him...Draco claims he only fended off the dragon because of territory, but I know that to be only a mask to cover up his true behavior.
Of my brother and Ros. It seems after a talk last eve, Ros has allowed Attrei to court her. I wonder what it is Attrei's been doing all this time if he hasn't been courting her...Well they seemed pleased when I last saw them, so whether I understand or nae, I feel happy for them.
