1953 Rail Centenary Stamp: A Case for
Design Error
In 1953 Department of Posts issued a stamp to commemorate
the centenary of Indian Railway. The stamp depicts a 1853
locomotive and a 1953 locomotive. However the locomotive
which is representative of 1853 was brought to India on
in 1855!
