An egg shattered, spilling a dappled green onto the sands. The green shook herself, and fell over again. Ellone fought back a laugh. The green chose a black-haired girl named Reeka.
More eggs hatched, including two bronzes. By now there were only four eggs left, including the Queen egg. A green hatched next, choosing the other female candidate.
Ellone was worried, there were only three eggs left. They might bothe be males, and she never even thought of Impressing the Queen.
The last two eggs hatched, revealing a bronze and a green. The green crooned, then headed over to the girls. She crooned again, then, Can we go eat, rider-mine? Ellone laughed. "Of course we can, Sienkoth. I can only imagine how hungry you are right now."
As she left with her Sienkoth, she saw Kaseko in the stands smiling.
