He looked on with interest as a blue dragon joined the pair of greens in bathing. He watched, slightly jealous as the blue approached the green dragon Maricth. Elgourth knew his lifemate had a crush on the pretty green's rider.
Then he stopped short in a doubletake, and promptly fell in love. Or rather, he fell headfirst into the water, as he was still half-submerged, but he had ceased to care. He'd just seen the most beautiful female dragon ever.
K'seko looked up curiously at his blue dragon, dripping wet as he emerged from the lake. "What's up, Elgourth?" He asked the blue dragon.
I'm in love. Elgourth sighed.
K'seko rolled his eyes. "No kidding? Who? Is it Maricth?" He asked hopefully.
No, well...Maricth is very pretty too...but I think this new dragoness is even greater than her! Elgourth crooned as K'seko sulked.
Look! She's right over there!
K'seko looked. "Where, behind the blue dragon?"
Elgourth growled. No, rider-mine. She is the blue dragon...
Now K'seko did a doubletake. "What!? That blue dragon's a girl?"
Elgourth nodded, sighing in a lovestruck, 'puppy-love' sort of way. She's beautiful...
K'seko scowled. He'd hoped Elgourth would agree to chase Maricth when she rose, maybe then he'd at least have a chance with Reeka...But it looked like Elgourth had his stubborn dragon heart set on flying this new dragon. A female blue, at that.
The bluerider had heard of some cross-gender colors, but had never actually seen one before. K'seko shrugged in defeat. "Alright then, Elgourth. What's her name, and her rider?"
Yenarath. Elgourth answered after a short pause. Her rider is Markli, she's the girl standing beside Yenarath. He added, humming contentedly as his eyes whirled.
K'seko glanced at the girl standing beside her blue dragon, and cocked an eyebrow. Her long hair was chestnut brown, the color of a runner's fur, but with splotches of white in it. She looked to be just a few turns younger than him. He sighed. Ah well, could be worse. He thought to himself, and Elgourth agreed.
