The Vet

     This is the story of an extra-special Special Forces soldier who returns from Viet Nam.   Chapter One starts upon his arrival back in the United States in 1970.

      The second through the fifth chapters follow him through his life, skipping through the years ending in 1999 in Chapter Five.

      Chapters One through Four are rated PG for violence.

      Chapter Five contains violence and a few graphic sexual descriptions, so I gave it an R rating. (Use your own descretion.)


    Chapter One    May 1970   Our Hero, Matt, arrives in San Francisco from Viet Nam, then returns to his hometown in Florida. [PG]


    Chapter Two    May 1972  Matt meets a restaurant waitress and they begin to get serious about each other. But when Matt has to use his combat skills to save her life, the violence frightens her. [PG]


    Chapter Three    April 1986   Matt has to use his Special Forces training to save his own life, resulting in a half dozen deaths, and his arrest. [PG]


    Chapter Four    June 1986   Matt is working for a small trucking company, and during a Christmas party five armed robbers take the employees hostage, killing two of them. It's up to Matt to save the others. [PG]


    Chapter Five    December 1999   Matt meets a woman he thinks he'd like spend the rest of his life with, but when her violently abusive ex-husband shows up, he once again has to use his deadly combat training to save her life. But will the violence scare her off? [R]
