David Jay Jordan's ONCE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED Because it is so important to KNOW, that we are saved so we can go further in Serving the Lord. Let me try an answer, a common question, many of us Christians ask ourselves. This one being from an e-mail question that was sent in to me . . . . .> David, > Do you believe once you are saved you are always saved ? > Or do you believe a person can loose their salvation ? > I am confused on the issue which makes me think, I'm unsaved. > I do not know if the gospel of Christ can always save. > Surely if someone stops believing then they will not and can > not be saved. Is this true ? Dear Christian All you need to rest your mind and heart are a few scriptures. And then you can get away from thinking your 'Salvation' is dependant on your perfection or life style....or holiness. This is so important to us in our walk with the Lord, when we understand the difference and realize that Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us. .... I know when I discovered it years ago, it totally changed me. So rather than the horrible coaster ride of ups and downs based on my goodness, which obviously wasn't all that good, I was able to level off and just be a whole lot more natural and normal, and hopefully more loving. Ha, so relax, you were a sinner, and are a sinner and will always be a sinner.... So just do your best and Love Jesus and others and then amazingly and automatically when we're in His love, we won't be siningr Why, because it will be 'Christ in you the hope of glory' And I am not talking about Christian lingo or a word manipulation, just simply the simple love of Jesus in your heart, being lived out to others and even to yourself. As His love in you will even help you 'love yourself' and be at ease with yourself. What a relief to know that you don't have to do it. You don't have to try and obey every one of the laws of the Old Testament but just the Lord's New Testament law of 'LOVE'. (John 15: 12). Love fulfills the law and it is the absolutely ONLY way the law can be fulfilled. For Jesus dodn;t come to destroy the law or the prophets but to fulfull them... When we receive Him we are becoming righteous because it is now His righteousness and the Father only sees the Righteousness of His Son when He looks down upon us. We are saved by Grace, His Grace, His Love, His Deliverance, His Redemption, as we are only saved because of HIS SALVATION. We don't save ourselves with our works, it is ALL Him and none of it is dependant upon our works... None meaning nothing ... ZERO For if by works then is it no more by faith .... Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost Once we are saved by the Lord and have been given new life, we can not be unborn. or lose our Salvation, because it was a work of His Spirit and not ours. We just made the decision to accept Him and receive Him. Right ? For if we truly believe and have received the Lord by faith we have been covered eternally by His BLOOD. It is over, it is a done deal, it is finnished and we can not change it no matter what, we are saved even if we don't believe it. afterwards. For the Lord knows those that have received him and they have changed from death unto life. It is finnished once and for all, and we can not get saved again, or ask him into our hearts again, as that would be recrucifying him again, as if the first time was not enough to cover our past sins, present sins, and even FUTURE sins. He has covered all our sins by his BLOOD and by His Rightoeousness for all time ! Amen ? But after we get saved, none of us are guaranteed that our lifes will be rosy and clear sailing. Some of us will fall by the wayside and lose faith. Some of us will just carry on life and do a little here and there for the Lord and yet others, of us will try to give our all until the day we die. For after salvation, we again have to choose whether we want to follow the Lord. This is why the Lord keeps saying to all even to the saved,, IF any man or woman will come after me THEN they must take up their cross and die daily to themselves. ... and follow me. (Luke 9: 23) So all Christians will not follow Jesus even though they are saved, but still they shall retain their salvation. 1 Corinthinians r 3:13-15 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the da shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. In other words, their works after salvation shall be tested whether they were done in His Love, for if they were done in His Spirit, they shall last, and that person shall be rewarded in the afterlife. If done for other reasons, they shall be burned away and disappear and the person will be left with no rewards but at least they still retain their souls intact because the Lord still saved them initially. We can NOT lose our Salvation, if we prayed and received the King of Kings. Continue on to Part 2 of ONCE SAVED, ALAWAYS SAVED SEE Also .... Salvation Holy Spirit Jesus never lost a sheep . |
