Bret, you have been the one whom I have wanted most in my life to be like. My idol for over a decade. I have strived to make something significant of my life, because of you. You are a wonderful vocalist... The only person who can move me to tears in a single phrase. You are the epitome of strength, and determination. For someone to endure all you have done and still make it to the top all the while managing to live with diabetes as well... it's truly inspiring to me. I have some issues with blood sugar myself, so your dealing with the disease has a profound effect on me. You are the living incarnation of the phrase "where there's a will, there's a way," and that gives me hope everyday that I too might acheive my dreams. You have been a mentor to me, a teacher from afar, my idol... and often my peace. Your voice calms the rage and fears within me. When I listen to you sing I am never alone, never lonely, never sad. You have made a profound difference in my life, and I just wanted to tell the world. Meeting you has added something to my life and my attitude toward life in such a positive way.
