Heaven & Hell is a collaboration of Black Sabbath ca 1980-1982 and 1991-1992. In 2006, the four members reunited for the compilation album Black Sabbath: The Dio Years, deciding to go on an '07-'08 tour, made easier since Ozzy Osbourne was booked for a solo tour at the same time. since the group (Black Sabbath-with Ozzy) was continuing to this day and the was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in '06, Iommi (initial owner of the Black Sabbath name) decided on calling the new group Heaven & Hell, initially a moniker from the first Black Sabbath recording (fronted by Ronnie), Heaven & Hell. BBC Radio 2 aired an interview, on October 5th, with Ronnie where he would go forth on a project with Tony Iommi. Before the 2007 tour, the band coincided on the tour being a one time thing and as well coinciding on following their separate paths. Ronnie returned to DIO in anticipation to recording Magica II and III-sequals to his Magica album released in 2000. Iommi and Butler returned to Black Sabbath to continue the original line-up, ca 1969-1979. Constricted to two different contracts, Dio and Iommi didn't discount the possible return of further collabs between the two. Post-Heaven & Hell, Appice was reluctant to come forth with future plans, but seems as though he will be working with his current band 3 Legged Dog. Blabbermouth.net reported in 2007 that the members would collaborate once again for a future album for 2008, backed up by Ronnie himself in a website interview with Komodo Rock on Nov. 1, 2007.
