This is what I want Carlos Santiego from my book Flight Of Terror to look like...does he look like anyone you may  have seen in a film?

I really got hooked on sketching this guy when I was drawing all my characters...take a look.

Mini Karbo clone, Dyke

Rhodes...operator of Rhodes Enterprise, heads the TriStar into action. Always worried about members of the team.

My sketchbook got a lot of scanning done to it, and I took the drawings and sketches that was most visual. I had a wonderful time sketching, and hope you have just as wonderful a time viewing. There are several characters, that I have sketched a lot of, but the one of Carlos is the most I've done. When you have a visual model, you draw more realistic...I only hope that the character rights will work out okay so everyone can read the story.

I took this sketch and put it on a piece of wood. Then I used a woodburner to draw in the detail. The end result looked exactly like this, except burned in wood. I haven't taken a photograph of it, but if and when I do, I will likely add it to the site. I have photos of other carvings, and things I've made that I would like to get up on the site soon.

Of all my drawings and sketches I am most pleased with the outcome of Eric Beaubien. I feel I have truly captured the image of his character on paper, and this is hard for someone like me to do as I feel I am not a true artist. I am sure there are many people out there though that would have to agree with me that to be able to actually capture an image from ones mind onto paper and actually make something that shows an actual person is truly an effort.

Lead male, Valentine Hallace

Had a lot of fun sketching Nickie, have a few of Valentine that I did on a spree one day. Bobby Raymond I had a few as well, but I put the best one here. The others I sketched him with shades. Deeanna had a few more in the book, but I didn't scan them up because I wasn't sure if I'd be going overboard here or not. In no way do I claim to be an artist, because most of the time without a model I could draw what I'd think is a face, and it would look like a crooked circle. Art, drawing, and sketching is a talent that takes a lot of work, and much practise. (FOR ME A LOT OF ERASING) I actually will sometimes use a huge magnfier on top of my sketch so I can get a close view of what I'm putting on the page. You all have witnessed the end result. I praise all artists out there who can do amazing work. Shy away from all critics...(Been laughed at before) and compliment anyone attempting to draw. Each drawing for me...took a long time. Mostly a day's work. So if you look at the colored drawings you can see how many days I actually sat down and drew for. The sketches are a little different, they only take a few hours for me. I couldn't tell you exactly how long each one took, or if any took longer...which is likely. I can only tell you that some of these characters had poorer quality drawings I did before that I was truly unhappy with. I was very frustrated with a lot of them, and did them again. These were the ones from 'Fear No Man'. Finally, I hope nobody out there will say I should give up my writing job and take up portraits! Or photo taking, or modeling, or anything else because writing is where I feel I excel. TO ALL ARTISTS...I TRULY ADMIRE ALL YOUR WORK!
