This is a fun page meant to share stories of wrestlers still active, retired, and long past. I've started by putting pictures of wrestlers who started out looking completely different from what they do today! Oh how the punishment of wrestling day to day takes a toll on these men. I remember when this both of these men started to become household names. The first wrestler pictured (and I'm not giving away any clues) I was told about how he met his wife from a friend of mine. A cool story that I will tell anyone who wishes to e-mail me if they can guess the pictured wrestlers correctly.
The list of names of wrestlers I'd love to start featuring here is endless and time is definitely against me! Bruno Sammartino, King Kong Bundy, Hillbilly Jim, Jimmy Golden (one of my favorite entertainers in the ring) Jimmy Hart, Curt & Larry Hennig, Bob Backlund, Big John Studd, Junkyard Dog, and Tito Santana. These are just a few names as I know a lot of others haven't yet been mentioned ie:Rick Steamboat, Jake the Snake Roberts and so on. There have been plenty of older generation wrestlers and newer ones, some retired, injured or passed on. I'd like to list them all here if I could, and a bit about each of them. I'm still working on finding pictures, some courtesy of my older magazines. All I can say is to keep checking back because I'll be trying to update the site as much as possible. |
