LONG WAVE SOCIAL ANALYSIS

Bryan Kavanagh's "The Recovery Myth: A Positive Response" could fit into any category at the Long Wave Center, and we hope to hear more from Kavanagh at this site. Since modern socio-political analyses of the long wave are relatively rare, we have chosen to highlight Kavanagh's work at this spot. Kavanagh's work is based partly on the popular 19th century American economist, Henry George. Kavanagh's concept of wealth disparity cycles relating to "rents" is very important in a short list of potential Long Wave "drivers".

As an example of non-academic social analysis related to the Long Wave, a free paper recently distributed by Robert Prechter's Billboard is listed. Prechter's career-long interests in the Long Wave and in social analysis of phenomema related to the LW are well known.

This free excerpt from his current book is copyrighted. Therefore you may view it at the Long Wave Center's site library but not print it out. Please enter the password "rpsocio" when prompted by Adobe Acrobat®. Prechter's Socionomics.

Other materials, papers, or analyses on this subject by Kondratieff and other Long Wave writers and analysts will be gladly received.
