a
Unitarian Universalist Buddhist Fellowship Meditation Group
Members of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Albany invite people interested in meditation to sit with them the first Thursday of every month. The group starts with 1/2 hour of sitting meditation. The sit is followed by a recorded Dharma talk and discussion. Questions and discussion about meditation practice and how it fits into one's religious life (Unitarian Universalist or any other religious perspective) are encouraged. Beginners are welcome. Basic Instruction (Vipassana style) is available from Sam Trumbore in periodic classes and/or weekend workshops.
Reverend Sam Trumbore (sitting-group@uumin.org) has been a diligent student and practitioner of Theravadan Buddhism for the last 15 years. He is also treasurer of the Unitarian Universalist Buddhist Fellowship and editor of their journal UU Sangha which is published 4 times a year.
