| THE DISRESPONSIBLE NODPOTS |
| The D.N's were started in 1997 (the 27th of July, to be exact) by a small group of friends, interested in writing. At the first meeting, it was decided that the Disresponsible Nodpots would meet regularly to encourage, support and learn about writing and publishing. Also, a small monthly fee was instituted to pay for magazine subscriptions, submission postage and other Nodpot related expenses. |
| Nodpot Motto: WE AIM TO DISPLEASE |
| Originally, the meetings took place in the home of the Nodpots, but more recently they have taken place in various Italian Restaurants. The meetings usually last several hours and tasks are assigned which must be completed before the next meeting. Since 2005, Nodpot points are awarded for the completion of these tasks, as well as for words written and books read between meetings. These points go towards elegibilty for NODPOT OF THE YEAR, which is awarded every 31st of December. |

| There are currently nine members of the Disresponsible Nodpots. |
| MARVIN: The Chairtoy and original Don-Pot. He encourages, advises, motivates and generally keeps the Nodpots on the straight and narrow. PARSLEY: Treasurer, he looks after the Nodpot funds and makes sure it isn't all spent on sweeties! ISEULT: Reluctant secretary and Inkpot, she is currently working on a fantasy trilogy centred around a young woman named Janna, who can turn into a wolf. VALERIE: Our own Despot, she presides over the meetings when Marvin can't make it. She is currently working on a fantasy horror story for children about a girl with strange powers, named Lottie. SPARKIE: A silent member of the Nodpots, he none the less encourages and supports the other members. OCTOBER: Once an active member of the group, October is 'resting' at the moment before returning to the writing world. NOVEMBER: November, a keen fan of the horror genre, is also 'resting' from writing at the moment. MUNGO: The newest Nodpot, sometimes nicknamed Little White Paws (or L.W.P), Mungo is currently writing a comedy script called 'Bookwyrms'. BLUEBERRY: Our remaining mascot, Blueberry likes to support the Nodpots in his own, feline way (which means he will go to meetings as long as he doesn't have to travel). |
