Stardate: 60298.1736
Setting: Oceanic World, inside the downed shuttle

It was getting cold. Cold enough, that Lea could see her breath. The only reason why she wasn't completely freezing had been that Luke had found a blanket amongst the shuttle's emergency supplies. He had insisted that Lea take it as he would not use it even if she refused. Shivering as she was, Lea did not argue as much as she could have and wrapped herself into the rectangular piece of thermal fabric.

"This is turning out to be a real nightmare," Lea said through her chattering teeth. "I really thought our troubles were over when we finally escaped from that other planet."

Like the skilful actor that he was, Loki did not display anything that would have given away the position that he had held on that planet or the anger he felt at the chain of events that had brought them both here. As Luke Onison, the man had to be supportive and encouraging, things that came naturally to him, but more so when he was looking at the SFI Agent next to him.

"Nightmares are what you see when you only look at the bad side of things," Luke said, nudging a little closer to Lea. "When you have a nightmare about falling, you can accept it as being just that or look at it from the point of view of being free from all physical restrictions. As long as you do not fear the outcome, you can enjoy the journey there."

Lea blinked. "Let me guess, you were a Cns before joining SFI."

Luke Laughed. "No. Life just thought me to not focus on the negative things. Look at our present situation. I could think of the growing cold, or the storm that sent us here, or I could focus on the spectacular aquatic view that we have and the angelic company that I am with."

Lea blushed. This had not been the first compliment that Luke had sent her way, but for some reason that one had been the one to melt her soul. Maybe it had been because she was sure that they would soon die, or maybe it was just that she had never spent so much time with anyone like this. Alone. Whatever the reason had been, the SFI Agent had been thankful. While looking into the man's charming eyes, Lea silently thought that there had been countless worse ways for her career to end. Maybe, just maybe if luck was on their side, they would be able to continue this moment in another place, at another time.

Stardate: 10298.1630
Setting: USS ANUBIS, Sickbay

Pravat laid on the medical bed, recovering from his injuries. The blow he had taken to the head had kept him unconscious, but that had not stopped his subconscious mind from reaching out beyond the confines of Sickbay.

He felt a darkness as cold and eternal could be touch his thoughts, giving him the impression that he had somehow found his way out of the ship and into space. His last memory being of the Romulan freighter, the Enaran could not comprehend how he had arrived here. Legends about what he would find in the afterlife did not match the emptiness that surrounded him, so he could not be dead. If the Romulans he had stumbled upon had not killed him, and this was not the afterlife, where was he?

The answer came in a totally unexpected way. The cold darkness that had been around him was replaced by an ocean of water that extended in all directions. If he was not dead, and was not in the middle of suffocating, Pravat reasoned that this had to be a dream of some sort.

Far ahead of him, Pravat saw a light pierce the water, drawing him to it. He did not know why he needed to go to it or how he had managed to walk through the liquid, but in the end the Enaran had arrived at the small sphere of light. As bright as a sun the small ball radiate a heat that warmed Pravat's soul, and despite the intensity of the light he found himself looking within the sphere.

Looking back at him, Pravat saw something that he had not expected to find. In the middle of the blinding light stood the ship that he served on as MCO, the USS ANUBIS. The longer he stared at the ship, the closer he came to it until he finally found himself inside of the ship in what appeared to be Sickbay. The form of a man resting on one of the beds attracted his gaze, and the Enaran was actually not shocked to see his own body laying there in front of him.
