"Change of Face"

Stardate: 60313.1820
Setting: USS ANUBIS, Deck 7, Sickbay
On the word 'Cardassian', Susan's ears pricked up.
"Uh-oh" was all she said.
Both of the other women in the room stared at her: Maya with curiosity
and Lea with concern.
"Is there something wrong with your disguise, Susan?" Lea asked.
Susan shook her head hurriedly, "No, it's wonderful" She smiled at
Maya, "but I don't see you and me spending much time together."
Maya seemed to realize the problem. Before she could say anything, Lea
said, "I'm not so sure... you did say that your role was the daughter of a
collaborator?"
Susan nodded, seeing where this was going, "So I might actually enjoy
spending time with Miss Cardassian Scientist..."
Maya looked confused, "What do you mean 'collaborator?'
Susan endeavored to explain, "My father, apparently, was a Cardassian
collaborator during the occupation..." she looked worried for a second,
"... but my PADD did say that he switched sides again after the
liberation..." With a sigh, Susan realized that she needed to do more research.
"Seems to me that your Miss Niema may have a whole lot of enemies...
you best brush up on your self-defense." Lea warned with the hint of a
smile.
Taking this to a slowly sinking heart, Susan announced, "I guess I'll
leave you two to your Cardassian, it seems I have more work to do... and I'd
better return to my office before Mr. Dawson arrives for his session."
After saying her goodbyes, Susan headed back to her office, completely
forgetting that she now had a whole new face that her next visitor
might find very disconcerting to say the least...
