Stardate: 60321.2120
Setting: TANGIERS ORBITAL, Corridor
Standing with their backs against the wall the
Romulan/Terran hybrid and her Dralian associate waited
patiently, the unlikely pair having followed countless
clues and rumors to this location. Having glanced at
the still closed door once again, T'Pring turned to
Guntiz. "Are you certain that this is the room?"
Nodding his head like a love-struck puppy, Guntiz
confirmed that the room around the corner from where
they were was where the bounty hunter they had been
looking for was said to be at. Thinking that they
were looking for Kreedar Brell to enlist his help in
finding the Stone of Gol, the Dralian had worked long
and hard to track the movements of the large man,
confident that the Vulcan he had met and joined knew
what she was doing.
Searching for Kreedar Brell fell nicely in the
multiple roles that the Romulan/Terran hybrid had been
playing, allowing her to carry on with her duties
while maintaining her undercover identities intact.
As the Vulcan commodities' trader T'Pring, locating
the bounty hunter had been only a first step in
insuring the finding of the Stone of Gol. As the
Tal'Shiar operative Sevaal, the renowned mercenary who
worked for those who paid him most, had been labelled
an associate of T'Preel and Zulot making him an
important target to her investigation. As the COO of
the ANUBIS, keeping track of David meant that she also
knew where Susan was and hopefully this would lead her
to finding where Lea had disappeared to.
Saying to the Dralian that they had been waiting to
confirm that this was the right place, the
Romulan/Terran hybrid had no problems convincing
Guntiz that this was the most logical course of action
to take for the time being. Rushing into a room
without having knowledge of what they would find
inside was not a smart thing to do, regardless of
which identity the COO used to evaluate their present
situation.
Looking at the door once again, the Romulan/Terran
hybrid could only hope that David and Susan were
alright wherever they might have been. Possessing no
concrete proof as to their location, the COO could
only wait and see if the information secured by Guntiz
had been as accurate as he had claimed it to be.
Hearing the sound of approaching footsteps, the
undercover officer cast her gaze further down the
corridor and noticed someone walking down the corridor
towards them.
Fearing that their position might become compromised
the Romulan/Terran hybrid kept a very close watch on
the approaching person realizing only after a few
second that her fears had been unfounded. Having
identified the unknown individual as the Cardassian
scientist named Denir, AKA Lt. Cmdr. Maya of the
ANUBIS, the COO was both relived and puzzled in seeing
the CSciO here, looking at the same door that they
had.
Having noticed the same thing, Guntiz leaned in
closer and asked, "Who is she? Could she be a friend
of that bounty hunter? Maybe the Cardassians are
after the Stone of Gol as well, or maybe worse she
could be a member of the Obsidian Order sent to find
Kreedar Brell for some dark intention."
Glancing at the Dralian incredulously, the
Romulan/Terran hybrid found the thought of the
Shillian belonging to the Obsidian Order almost
amusing knowing just how uncomfortable the CSciO had
been with being part of the Intel team led by Admiral
Koneki.
Returning her interest to the corridor, door and
woman standing alone, the COO gently tapped her finger
against the wall attracting the attention of the
Cardassian onto their location. Anticipating a
barrage of questions from the Dralian, the
Romulan/Terran hybrid explained her action with only a
few words. "She is no Obsidian agent, she is a
friend."
Having heard the tapping and recognized the COO
beneath her disguise as a Vulcan, the CSciO approached
looking a little perplexed, an expression that was
present in full force on the face of the
Romulan/Terran hybrid. Staying in character, T'Pring
asked of the Cardassian, "Miss Denir, what brings you
here? Are you also looking for Kreedar Brell?"
Noticing that the COO was not alone, the CSciO played
alone for the time being. "Yes, I heard that he may
have something of interest for me."
Accepting that this Cardassian was an acquaintance of
T'Pring, Guntiz jumped in the middle of the
conversation without hesitation. "How did you find
him? I had to bribe countless patrons so that they
would give me next to nothing in information as to his
whereabouts."
Looking surprised by her own reply, the CSciO
grinned. "I simply asked the casino's personnel.
They are extremely helpful and answered all of my
questions providing me with room numbers and even
information about his gambling preferences."
Not finding it all that difficult to believe that it
had been that easy for the CSciO to locate David, the
Romulan/Terran hybrid shot a disappointed glare at the
Dralian who seemed to be at a lost for words to
explain why he had not thought of doing the same thing
himself. Returning her attention to the Cardassian
woman, the COO once again saw her focus pulled down to
the other end of the corridor, this time because of a
large number of people heading their way.
Pulling the Cardassian out of sight, the three of
them waited to see what this newest commotion was all
about. To the COO's and CSciO's surprise, the group
heading down the corridor was being led by a trio of
individuals two of which the undercover officers
recognized as being the XO and ILO.
Not recognizing the third member of the lead team,
the Romulan/Terran hybrid waited to see what would
happen next having confidence that Lt. Cmdr. Enaii
knew what she was doing more than any of them.
Motioning some of his men to stand on the other side
of the doorway, the man turned towards Enaii. "Are
you sure you want to do this?"
Looking less than impressed by the course of action
that she had been forced into thanks to the tactical
errors made by their CO and the likelihood of the CEO
doing something that they would all come to regret at
some point in the future, the ILO reluctantly nodded
her approval.
Placing his hand on the door that the Romulan/Terran
hybrid had been keeping a close watch on, the man
opened it as if it had not been locked allowing for
his security team to storm inside the room and
confront whoever was inside.
